Indians vs Mariners 17/5/12 Sweep another 2 game set

Unread postby British_Pharaoh » Thu May 17, 2012 11:48 am

Indians looking to make it a 4 game win streak following a disappointing weekend in Boston.

Seattle Mariners

Ackley
Saunders
Ichiro
Seager
Smoak
Liddi
Jaso
Carp
Ryan

SP - Noesi (2-4, 6.32ERA)

Cleveland Indians

Choo
Kipnis
Cabrera
Hafner
Santana
Brantley
Amn
Kotchman
Lopez

SP - McAllister (1-1, 4.15ERA)

Noesi is even worse on the road with an unsightly 8.27ERA in four starts away from home, so I hope the Indians can tee off on this guy and give McAllister a lead with which to work. However Amn (1 at bat) and Kotchman (5 at bats) are the only Indians to have faced Noesi, and we all know how often these young kids we haven't seen before have a tendency to rape us.

No worries, we've got the meat of our lineup this inning with Brantley and Damon after Santana. :hide:

This game has not been Jose Lopez' one shining moment to this point. Time for the Luke Donald sycophants or at least the Jason Donald sycophants to be cued up! (on the other hand JOhnny Damon's OBP is 1 so far this game!)

This is a sporting event in which one of the teams participating is called "Cleveland", there is absolutely nothing that can be too shocking that may or will occur. Scoring 8 off King Felix was not pleasing to the gods, bad things must come to even out that score. Noesi is our punishment.

Something needs to be done about the number of walks our pitchers allow. It can't go on like this if we want to contend deep into the season

Need this win. The Marlins series is going to suck

Zambrano, Johnson and Sanchez for us to face = not nice

This game's pissing me off more than it should. Really wanted to get this one. Figured SEA would roll over and die.

Blows my mind how our pitchers keep walking Brendan Ryan. Guy's a fucking stiff.

Look at it this way, at least we aren't allowing him to get hits.

He's just clogging the bases anyway.

It was only 3 years ago when Lopez had 25 home runs and 96 rbi for the Mariners. He just employed some muscle memory in the 8th there.

Hafner nailed in the arm, looked painful, Laporta better be packing his bags.

No worries...Damon-Kotchman-Lopez coming up 2-3-4 in the 10th. That's money in the bank. I think we can even give up a run in the 10th and be ok.

Damon will go walkoff HR and I'll never hear the end of it from McPeek.

But guys, Bastion says that Perez has the exact same stats in a tie game vice a save situation.....so you're clearly overreacting.

(or CP tends to have crappy peripherals the last 1.2 seasons, whatever)
