If this doesn't bring me to 1-0 on the year, no game will. Sorry didn't see any lineups yet, but wanted to attempt a slump bust while the getting was good.

Coz beat you by seconds on the lineup Adam, so I deleted the duplicate post. And even if she hadn't gotten it in there before you I'd have deleted yours because I like her better. ;-) ;)

Yeah, was just about to go edit mine.

Of course you like her better. I disagree with you on damn near everything.

No you don't.

And I'm just 100% certain she's nicer than you are and 100% certain she doesn't drive me as crazy. :dingle:

And while she may not like Johnny Damon she doesn't draw devil horns on him either (metaphorically speaking).

Sweet!!!

5 struggling holes in the lineup, top two in rotation are basket cases, best strike thrower who at least gives you a major league quality effort every time out is on the DL, the best pitcher on the staff is a hyperactive 38-yr old and Jeremy Accardo is on his way to assume the Wheeler role.

Did I miss anything other than Tony Sipp not being trustworthy either?

Excellent. Roll Tribe!!!

It's going to get artificially sweet if they beat this AA+ team the Twins field or it's going to get really ugly if that AA+ team hands the Tribe their lunch.

Choo batting leadoff is good. Maybe he'll get hit with a pitch or two or something. Casey Kotchman is extremely irritating to me so far this year. For one brief spell in the White Sox series he reached the Mendoza line, he's back looking for it.

[smh]they are still shitty[/smh]

You can take crap, filet it nice and pretty, cook it to perfection, top with with the perfect sauce, with delicious sides...you are still serving crap.

Go Tribe.

On a positive note, I no longer have to stare at Shells Duncan.

You're not one to criticize avatars. At least get something time-relevant. Unless you're following the Lehigh baseball season.

What I am certain of is no one will ever have an avatar of either Damon making a strong throw to the plate to cut down a run nor one with Shelly Duncan hitting a slider hard to the opposite field.

Wow, a pictorial representation of Jhnny DEMON! Love it! Scary crap, but I love it.

Sadly, though, the avatar may very well get more comments in this thread than tonight's game. Here's a pitiful "over/under" to consider: There are three guys batting OVER .250, five that are under, and Haf is sitting right on it. Heck, two guys are batting below .200 and Demon is barely above it (.207). Isn't hitting something of a fundamental when you play this game? Especially if all of our "good" pitchers are pitching like crap?

What I find funny is people will see Shelly Duncan in LF tonight and think it's a defensive upgrade.

What I find horribly depressing is they'll be right.

And Duncan is one step up from setting a 55gal drum in left field and counting anything that goes in it or touches it an out.

Over/Under on Denard Span hits this series: 7½ (remember, it's only two games)
Bottom 4th: Cleveland
- J. Kipnis grounded out to shortstop
- A. Cabrera doubled to deep left
- N. Swisher doubled to center, A. Cabrera scored
- J. Giambi doubled to deep right center, N. Swisher to third, N. Swisher out at home
- J. Giambi caught stealing, catcher to third

1 run, 3 hits, 0 errors

Coincidentally that also happens to be the over/under on Jimenez number of walks in his next start.

Do you now?

You have no idea what Mac learned from those comic books from scientists and engineers like Bruce Banner and Tony Stark . And you have no idea that he may have artificially produced an entire population of guitar playing, planned parenthood volunteering, Star Wars action figure collecting MacPhistos.

Because he didn't want you knowing and even if you did he's quite certain you'd never figure it out.

Nice work by Santana to not get the runner over.

BTW, Santana, 18 BB in 18 games in April. 7 BB in 15 games (incl. tonight) in May.

Damnit. Get a runner in scoring position with no outs and they can't even get him to 3rd.

Santana looked really bad in his AB. We need him to get it going.

Agree on all counts. Especially with Brantley on deck who isn't going to strike out. That GB to 2B was a free run if Santana does his job.

That was my guess. Just double checked Cordova. 20 in 2001 (CLE), 24 in his rookie year with MIN.

Lawton, Thome, and Cordova have all done it. Question's wrong.

Lawton was 1998/2004, Cordova 1995/2001, Thome was 2010 with MIN and a bunch of times with us.

I'm a defender of matt lawton's tenure in Cleveland

he was paid too much but he was a decent OBP guy, with a bit of speed and decent pop
