The issue with today is the hour drive there, the game and the hour drive back will coincide with FA Cup final.
And some a-hole will spoil the results before I watch that.

You should have watched the Arseanl - Norwich 3-3 draw; much more entertaining than today's Final will be.

As far as Santana goes, tonight is why he's going to be a career .250 hitter. He's selfish.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing while watching last night's game.

Yeah with a .380 OBP to go with it. How TERRIBLE.

So tired of the OBP argument. I don't care. When you're in a position to drive in runs, it needs to be done. His AB last night with a runner on 3B and less than 2 outs was the AB of a selfish dumbass.
Does the same shit in every 9th inning of a close game.
Give him credit for the OBP if you want. The number I'm looking at is that he's a .222 hitter in Innings 7-9 for his career. With a .735 OPS.
In the late innings, you get the RBI when you can. Not worry about the guy after you doing his job.

Worry about Choo.

Agreed, he needs to hit. But he's not right now, so the manager needs to take advantage of his abilities and minimize the impact of his weaknesses. Given that he's not hitting but still walking a TON (I think he has the best plate discipline in the majors), I'd love to see Santana hit leadoff or 2nd. With how much he gets on base he's the perfect table setter. He's not the prototypical top of the order hitter, but who cares. He'd be great up there. Then move Kipnis down. With the way Kip is raking, he'd drive in a ton of runs in the #3 or 4 hole.
