This is all I could think about today regarding the draft...

I am so happy that they abandoned the draft-for-need policy and went to the BPA policy with that pick.

First, I was upset they traded down. And then this is the guy we pick. We basically just traded a 3rd round pick for a 4th round pick, because the 3rd round pick is a throw-away.

And these guys get paid a lot of money to make these decisions.

I know at the end of day 3, they filled some holes. But I am beating this Hughes pick to death.
I looked and SI has 100 UFAs rated higher than Hughes.

I can agree that the 3rd was too high to pick Hughes.

I disagree that he is a throw-away. Obviously, they see something in him they really like.
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.

On Day 1, Cleveland made one of the best trades and picks for running back Trent Richardson. But, on Day 2, the Browns made one of the most perplexing selections of the night in Cincinnati DT John Hughes from Cincinnati. Hughes was not on anyone’s big board, and little is known about his potential on the next level.
