I want them to draft the FASTEST WR, even if slightly lower ranked.
Enough possession types on the team - need someone to stretch the field.

I get the logic. My contention with that is that 80% (my guess) of the playbook is designed for short throws. Is that because they don't have a fast guy to stretch the field or because Colt McCoy couldn't throw a deep ball? Or because Shurmur and Holmgren want it that way and having different personnel won't change that?
I imagine they'll incorporate more deep routes with Weeden and a faster WR, but I guess I'm just too cynical about H&H to believe it until I see it.

I guess bubble screens and jet sweeps soften the defense.

Another WR, LB, or corner @ 120??

He might not be on ANYONE's board. He should start working on his professional wrestling career.

CBS Sports has him as FB, but Alabama's website has him as H-Back/TE.
Not sure how this guy makes the team as a TE.
EDIT - He's definitely a TE. I like it much less now.

As a Browns fan, I think we need one more year of suck to have a chance to add another elite player or two to the team.
Then all bets are off and its all about winning.

Hiko, in this scheme he may well project to FB to compete with Marecic.
And need + scheme = the story of this draft. Think about it. Why is ehrone biting about reaching and even the players are commenting on their slots?
need + scheme = this draft. which I might add is the best on paper by a Brwns organization since Ozzie & Clay. Yeah, I'm going there. In 2 seasons you can point to this weekend as the Battle of Britain or Midway (that's for SD).

I cannot understand this line of thinking at all.
I'm sick of them sucking.
Shit.... we're only another shitty year away from another 3 year plan.

We have a decent number of balls, giving us a chance to improve immensely. Then I am all about winning.

I mean, if we finish in the neighborhood of 0.500, we could get stuck there for a while.
To truly improve, we have to suck another year.

I'm not buying this at all OD.
You're saying that the difference between perennial inescapable mediocrity vs 8 years of playoff football is the difference between next year's #5 vs #15 pick?
We have (allegedly) our QB, a decent OL, a franchise RB, an All Pro LT, and a stout defense. That's not to say we are set everywhere. Not even close. But right now the Browns are no longer a walkover team. At least on paper.
It's simple.
1. If Weeden is what we hope he can be we will be picking in the middle of the first.
2. Weeden is a franchise QB but we still have too many holes to fill and we are picking top 5-8 again.
3. Weeden is a bust and none of it matters anyway.
I guess I just don't know how #2 happens. If Weeden can play, how to the browns only win 4 games?
