i completely forgot who we just picked at 37
but in no place is the pain like Cleveland's: all-encompassing, multi-generational, redundant and unique at once.

Stop watching ESPN and switch to NFL Network.

Hey, might not be true but at least it's more positive than the WWL.

Meanwhile, Josh Cribbs does cartwheels knowing his agent can still demand WR money instead of just Punt Return money. Not sure which is worse - watching MoMass, Cribbs and Little break the huddle, or Oriel Cousins at RT.

Cousins at RT is worse. So actually a good pick, assuming the kid starts right away.

Then again, some guy from MIDWESTERN STATE went before Glenn and Massie, so maybe there's more to it.

Draft Strategy 101 for Cleveland....Give 3 seemingly insignificant picks to move up one place and assure you get what most observers believe to be superb running back, then with first pick on second day, draft OT whose biggest downside, according to most of those same observers, is a glaring inability to run block. "WINNING!" :thud:

Thanks MV, I don't get NFL network at work so appreciate hearing the other side of the coin.

Can I take a min to point out again what a miserable, money-grubbing whore Rodger Goddell is for changing the draft format?

NFL Network guys said just the opposite - very good run blocker, weaker in pass pro. It's actually the pick I am most happy about.

P.S. I am still relatively sober, so I hope I am not confusing anyone with my sunny disposition and positive outlook.

My big issue is how tested can Schwartz be in the Pac-12?

SEC keeps churning out first and second round DL left and right. Would, inherently, think that a SEC OT would be more battle tested.

Guess Schwartz does have a brother who has spent 5 years in the NFL.

Really?

Be honest. Do you know anything, anything at all, about Schwartz? Other than Kiper had him rated a little bit lower than he was selected?

A couple more Makers Mark and I'll be back to my usual depressing cynical self, but according to the talking heads on NFLN, the kid acquitted himself well at the Senior Bowl, blocking those SEC studs. Not a full season's worth of experience, but apparently he was drafted based on a good week of practice.

BTW, I really hope no one is actually listening to Mel Kiper and believing anything that hack says. That would be like listening to CDT about pizza.

call me bitter, but why the fuck did matt stover get to announce that pick without the added aside of "the ravens did not draft me"??

My exact feelings also. That really pissed me off to see Matt Stover, whom the Browns drafted in 1990, announcing the Ravens pick.

NFL Network made it sound like Glenn was a future guard, so if Schwartz projects better as a tackle, that's fine.

I've made my peace with the Richardson pick. He'll be fine. I like Weeden. I don't think anyone here has a freaking clue about the talent level of Schwartz. We need help there and we drafted a guy to play there.

Yeah. When I heard them say that I was glad we went with someone else.

At 345 it does seem unlikely hGlenn would be quick enough to not have to move inside in the NFL.

But, at this point it's damn near impossible to seperated the "piss and moan" out of the typical Browns fan.

i don't think the browns drafted him, but i agree that any ex brown should be forced to eat shit before announcing the pick if they associate w/ the ravens
but in no place is the pain like Cleveland's: all-encompassing, multi-generational, redundant and unique at once.

browns will trade back into late 2nd to pick up a wr or hopefully a fullback to replace that waste of a pick on a fullback last year

Alshon Jeffrey? Before Randle? OK Bears.

I'm fine w/ Schwartz. Played both LT & RT. Solid it seems. Now, I'd find a way to move back in for Randle.

the only thing I've learned in this draft is just how big a moron Ron zook is. He's playing in the big 10 with alabama level talent and can't win a game.

Mother,

How is it that out of all the guys that went to Eric Wright's Place last night, you are the only one man enuff to post during round 2? JB, Peeks, Hiko, Pup - all AWOL?

Maybe they're partying with Janoris Jenkins?
I don't need to be patient, they're going to be shit forever.

They say he threw a 97 mph fastball. I like that kind of arm on our quarterback.

Well, Peeker's at a soccer game (allegedly)

Hiko and JB stayed together, so maybe their still getting to know each other inside and out, like has been said about Weeden and Blackmon.

FUDU was there too. And Tripods.

And possibly Rat Tail. It's not like I knew everyone in the entire bar.
According to my sources CDT farts in the tub and bites the bubbles.
