Draft Day 2 : Official I don't remember yesterday thread.

I figure since we have 2-3 day one melt down threads we can use a fresh start for day two where every other post isn't bitching about what happened last night.

Out of the guys left and slotted for round 2 I really wish we could get two of David, Hill, and Martin, but I can't see any way for us to get that done in an acceptable trade.

Who are you taking at 37?

Gun to my head I'm going with Martin.

Agree, we really need a fresh start here.

I'd be ok with either Martin, Hill, Glenn or even Fleener at #37.

Best WR/TE on the board. Don't care who it is.

Then we have to get an RT, don't care if we trade the rest of our draft to get back into the second to do it.

Martin, Glenn, Hill, Randle....not necessarily in that order.

Is Fleener a real upgrade over what we have? If somebody teaches Evan Moore how to block it seems like we already have Fleener.

It's looking too far forward, but if we were to finish with Trent Richardson, Weeden, Martin, David or Brown at lber and Posey, will really really like this draft.

So I'm going to be holding out with alot of optimism today that they get a Great RT prospect and a nice OLB prospect.

Need that burner at some point. If they get Hill today, I'd be ecstatic....was really hoping AJ Jenkins was going to slip to us.

I'm more interested in a whatever wr is highest rated at 37, and getting the RT in the third. Today is where heckert truly needs to earn his rep.

37: Hill then Randle. That's it.

After that, scramble up to get an ORT

Posey?

Where's the vomit emoticon.

No Fleener. Like him but with Moore and Jordan Cameron they already have resources spent on the spot and no way they pull plug Cameron even if he was slight reach last year.

I think Weeden is going to love Cameron, btw.

Why would spending a 4th or 5th on Posey induce vommit?

Ultimately thats a guy with 2nd talent if tatgate never happens.

good size, good speed, gets off the line, questionable hands. Very good value in the late rounds.

Why would anyone like Cameron? I've seen nothing there. Will he even play this year?

Cameron has all the physical skills you want out of the TE spot. I think Watson, Moore and Cameron all stand to benefit from a guy at QB who can get balls into seams with some pace.

If you want a late round flyer on Posey I'd be okay with that but not before you get a couple WRs ahead of that that can score from anywhere on the field.

But Posey isn't a great route runner and I don't know how much press coverage he's going to beat.

I truly don't remember yesterday.

We picked Weeden. Some shots were involved shortly after that.

Then I was eating at a restaurant at 3 am.

Everything else is a blur.

More I think about it the more I'm thinking Hill has to be the guy they select between 33-37, however they have to get it done.

They have to have a guy who can stretch the field with a strong-armed QB.

Hope a guy like Brandon Brooks or Mitchell Schwartz are still there in 3rd and after.

Well shit, I guess I just thought I'd put it here. I'll check with you in the future as to what thread I need to post each idea, thought, comment or link.

Surely there will be no discussion in this thread about yesterday, especially as the pick nears.

Yeah check with me, PM any comments you'd like to post in advance, and I'll contact you back within 48 hours with whether or not its suitable for posting.

Or, you know, just read the thread and use your own brain.

My worry about Hill is his ability to get off press coverage on short routes. He certainly has the athleticism and speed to get off the line and shake a DB on a deep route, but can he create separation on underneath throws like 85% of the playbook calls for?

Good call. Turf will speed him up even more and they lost out on Blackmon.

Whatever the Browns do at 37, I hope it coincides with moving back into the mid-2nd round to get another offensive starter or a LB depending on who is still around.

Then I want Devon Wiley and Chris Givens.

And if Hill is gone they better get me the best RT on the board. And if Hill and Massie/Glenn are gone then I'm fucking going crazier about last night's picks.

Baltimore continues to show teams how drafting should be done. Trade down, add picks, and still get the guy that they probably wanted.

FWIW, Scouts inc mock had him going last in the 2nd round to the Giants. Kiper didn't have him going in the 2nd round.

Well if that doesn't get you all hot and bothered, he has "average upper body strength" too.

Yeah, I'd much rather have guys who have faced SEC DL like Massie and Glenn have instead of Pac-12 DEs. I imagine the number of SEC DL over the last 4 years that have been drafted completely dwarfs the number of P-12 DL.
