You guys remember back in 2009 when the Browns took David Veikune and LeSean McCoy was the next pick off the board?

That was a good one.

I remember screaming in delight when we traded back up to draft Brady Quinn...FINALLY had our quarterback!

Any draft day that had the first 3 rounds on a Saturday.

1995. Having the Jets sneak Kyle Brady before us and then trading all the way down to 30 to draft Craig Powell, all while Warren Sapp was free falling.

1999. Passing on an entire draft's worth of picks from New Orleans so we could take Timmy.

1970 We were happy to get Mike Phipps third.......didn't think the Steelers knew their asses from a hole in wall taking a guy named Bradshaw #1...........I was in 5th grade.

....this of course is a retropick.....a "favorite"...only because of valuable life lesson.

Next thing I know it's 10pm and I'm in the Taco Bell drive thru.

Yeah - there were a lot of man hugs doled out that day.

Remember the entire place just openly mocking Lady Quinn as he began to slip, all the shots of him sitting there looking all sad. Got to about pick 14-15, people started to change their tune and talk about the potential of a trade up. When the little Cowboys helmet changed to a Browns helmet at pick #22, the place went bananas. The debate was Joe Thomas OR Quinn, and we got both, people were fired up. Eric Wright was also a very popular pick when they moved up to get him

Was also the day of the Cleveland Marathon, which went through downtown. Remember the runners looking in the windows horrified at all of us pounding beers at 10 AM.

I remember being in Paninis the night before at 2 AM with Hiko, then being back in the same bar stool drinking at 9 AM the next morning. Also distinctly remember eating 3 Paninis overstuffed sammiches on draft day. Like one every four hours.

The fact that he went back into the archives and deleted most of it was a huge sin.

So instead of partying our asses off and actually enjoying the festivities while we sat back with smug confidence knowing we had our QB of the future, we spent countless days in wretched despair, arguing endlessly about stupid shit.
