Then the Browns pick the guy they have on the top of their board.
This is not really that complicated.

If that is true, what are the odds that DB is at the top of their board?
Christ. Panic about a pick even before it happens?

I really don't understand why not. I mean most of us would rather be waiting in line at Dick's to buy our RGIII jersey's, but since that ain't happening why not just let the draft come to you. Why in the world do you want to trade up to fill a need at a position that has little or no value at the top of the first round?
Baby Jesus in a manger Thursday night at approximately 7:42 in the pm EDT cannot get here soon enough.

B/c Tom loves him some DB's. Also, I don't think they think as the rest of us do. Finally ask yourself this, if TR is off the board, who would the Browns realistically have above Claiborne?

B/c "fortune favors the bold," IMHO. We've let "the draft come to us" for yrs. We've been cautious forever now. Sick of it.

Same Mom for both, so we'll need to shelve the Antonio Cromartie jokes for awhile.

Kalil
Blackmon
And if I told you they could have as many as 7 or 8 guys above him, would that change your mind?

If his career lasts as long as LaDainian Tomlinson's or Tony Richardson's there's a shot for a father and son matchup in the future.
So there's that.
And I keep feeling sick about #4 on TR when the best we can hope for is that he puts up a Hillis-like season each year for the next 6-8 years (2010 Hillis). Honestly, the value in Hillis was running, receiving and pass-pro.
Had Hillis and the Browns not gone Kramer vs Kramer in 2011 they'd be getting substantially better instead of restoring their running game to 2010 levels when they went 5-11 with that kind of back.
Awesome.

1200 yards rushing, 3-down back, excellent blocker and blitz recognition, 60 catches for 500 more yards and 13 TDs.
If you're looking for more than that from any back in any year you're asking too much.
So he went crazy and the team helped him get there. Not much you can do. But you wonder if they had paid the guy market value for that 2010 production what may have been. At least I wonder.
TR may be faster but he's not a sprinter either.
It's all moot because it is what it is, but it's a hole in the head that was partially self-inflicted.

Not so fast my friend.
We really don't know TR's true 40.
He's got shake n bake Hillis lacked
Hillis is a fumbler.
1,200 is 75 YPG. Very nice but TR may very well be capable of more.
Upgrade.
Having said that, still hoping for a trade down to TB or Mihammi and getting another 2nd.

I'd be fully onboard w/ this, if TR is gone, provided they end up w/ Blackmon or Floyd. If not, what's the point?
EDIT: In fact, the tradedown is far preferable to being stuck w/ a DB or RT at 4.

The point is that this is an unusually deep draft . For every player that is supposedly the shizzznit there are 3 who are reasonable facsimiles that in the right system and on a good team may well be better.
After the 2 QB's, the differentiation gets tricky.
