Blossom

Unread postby motherscratcher » Sun Apr 22, 2012 3:31 pm

I have tickets to a show at Blossom in June. I've only ever been there once, and it was a fucking nightmare. This time I splurged for $15 for some sort of parking pass.

A few questions:

1. What time should I try to get there to avoid traffic and make sure I'm not late?

2. Do they allow you to tailgate with booze by your car before Showtime the way you can at Starlake?

As soon as I saw your post I looked up the tour. Clutch is in Toledo tonight. If I wasn't such an asshole I would have known that.

BTW, I'm not going to Nickelback.

Do NOT drink on the premisis before or after the show. The place crawls with plain clothers ready to pass out the citations.

And not early enough. Place is a nightmare to get in or out of. Pretty much stopped going to show there because of this. When you're thinking about how long you're going to be stuck in that fucking grass parking lot before the main act takes the stage, kinda ruins the night.

So pretty much you've got 3 hours of sobriety bookending a show in which you can imbibe in 8 dollar beers.

McGuffy's for the win. Much respect. Purchased a shirt there that read FRONT: Baltimore Sucks BACK: Modell Swallows.

Went to a Phish show at Blossom last summer, partied face off in lot before and after. Didn't get hassled once, nobody did. Just don't be stupid about it.

Pussy.

It's like Dillon said, "In Jersey anything's legal, as long as you don't get caught."

Depends on the crowd. At DMB everyone was drinking and 80% were smoking. Be discrete. Throw them off your trail and use a BLUE Solo (TM) cup.

Blossom is like Star Lake but with far better dental hygiene and less inbreeding.

BTW - Great little winery just to the west if you want a different sort of pre game & ur into the grape.

Dude, Clutch killed last night. I was all high on mushrooms, the band played like a 2 hour set, there was an actual midget, and i'm pretty sure my friend was sexually assaulted by an emo chick.

That was awesome.

Now I remember why I liked psychedelics so much.

You were on shrooms?

So the midget was probably 6'2", the band most likely played for 45 minutes, and were just alright.

No it was a real midget, I watched him buy a beer. He was the kidney bean shaped type, little sausage fingers and the whole 9.

Blossom, in my memory, is nothing more than a practice ground for the Summit County Brown Shirts.

Motley Crue is awful. It's too bad the talented musicians die from ODing.

I would pay for a concert where any of the following played (and nothing more):

Tool

Metallica (if their playlist was relegated to only pre-1990 stuff)

The two living members playing the Beatles greats with Ministry (from their non-sucking days)

The Dead Milkmen. Fuck yes.

Nina Simone.

Probably a bunch of others if you could change the space-time continuum.
It's only progress if you eventually get somewhere.
