I understand that. And I understand that it's early. Guys need time to build their arms up. It's probably just an overreaction on my part.

But, even Chris Perez (touched 93 yesterday) and Joe Smith are in the ballpark with their velo. Pestano's sitting 88-90.

I was too.... after 5 mins, when I realised it must be screwed, I switched to the Jays feed.

That first hit, liner into left, really got me fired up. Then droobs with the routine double play that turned into nothing? Fugly.
Pestano threw what 11 pitches? Why couldn't he stay in and finish? All in all, it was a nice win.

Santana looked good at the plate.

Lowe looked really, really good (I hope he can do that when the weather heats up, I have my doubts).

Smiffy looked like crap. Only downside.

1-2, better than 0-3.

Actually, I thought it was a pretty good article.

And, him comparing it to LeBron or the Browns...meh. He's a writer. It was a way in. It has nothing to do with what the article is about.

I like Jonah Keri. Behind Posnanski, I think he's the best baseball writer in the biz.

Rage touched 94. That's a good sign. Had a dancing slider too. His command was slightly erratic, but he's just an emotional guy. Overthrows the ball a lot.

Got the win, all that matters.

Can't believe the Red Sox blew two separate saves today. They're going to have a really long year and Bobby V isn't the kind of manager to navigate them through rough waters.

Chilly night on tap tomorrow. Should definitely help Tomlin. Sale for the ChiSox means we might see Marson with Santana DHing. Good chance to get Jason Donald a start at 3B/LF/2B. Need a game where we can throw Wheeler or Asencio without it mattering, preferably an offensive explosion.

Did anyone else who attended a game this weekend notice how much they've jacked up concession prices? Slices of pizza and hot dogs that I'm pretty sure were $3.50 and $4 last year were in the $5.75-$6 range. Also, beer vendors now just give you a can with no cup, NASCAR style. I think 40s are next.

Our seats were in Sec 428 or so at just one of the regular concession stands. SEC 533 I believe. Not a free standing deal but actually built into the concourse. There was a Strickland's ice cream line at the one I went too as well. Went to counter and told him just a hot dog and it was $4.25

Now, I didn't see hot dogs on the menu without it being part of a combo of some sort so maybe you specifically have to ask for it alone.
