(Cleveland) - Great Lakes Brewing Company is tapping a new keg Tuesday.
Rally Drum Red Ale is a handcrafted pub-exclusive beer named in honor of legendary Indians fan John Adams. Rally Drum Red Ale pays homage to Adams who’s been beating his drum in the bleachers during home games for 28 years.
GLBC says, “John’s rally drum is the heartbeat of our hometeam. From the minute the batter steps into the box, to the set and the pitch, his steady hands add drama and excitement to every inning of every game.”
Rally Drum Red Ale is an American Red Ale, a modern non-traditional style borrowing heavily from characteristics associated with more classical styles such as “pale ales” or “bitters.” This unfiltered copper-colored ale is brewed with a blend of Harrington 2-Row Base Malt, Crystal 77, and Special Roast malts, yielding a toasty layered complexity. Cascade and Simcoe hops add bitterness and aroma.
Rally Drum Red Ale will be tapped in the GLBC Brewpub Tuesday monring and will be served while supplies last.
Way to go Great Lakes. A legend is honored.
