Er wait, no, I guess I don't. Because it apparently still happens all of the fucking time. In 2012. In America.
Then again, it does only happen to dirty lazy hippies who should just go get a job and put themselves through school the way I theoretically would have done if my parents didn't pay for it.

Police brutality is one of the most despicable crimes IMO, it should never be tolerated. However you have to admit there is usually so much controversy over the vast majority of PB incidents that it all sometimes becomes a blur and boils down to questionable line of rights and such.
My point above was nothing more than saying "hey whatever happened to OWS" b/c they weren't hauled away and locked up, nor ordered by law to STFU & disappear forever. I guess they gave up, on their own accord. Strange that a group like that would give up, and in the makeup of today's society, shocking really.

Why? Why would people talk about it? Weird. Wasn't that months ago? Thought it never happened.
Still being discussed????

Actually, the NYC crowd hasn't been pushed out yet. FWIW. Till last night. Etc.

Regarding police brutality, it isn't over talked as much as it is in general often overstated when looked at in a case by case context. But if implying I support it gets one off you right ahead, b/c I'm as non conformist as it gets. That is a big a reason as any other that I am willing to give OWS an open ear, however one can only sit and wait for substance & credibility for so long.
Peeker all I ask from anyone who is in either in support of them (blindly or not) is not to play the disingenuous intellectually elite self absorbed card and say "people just don't get what they're about", b/c people both dumber and smarter than us get it.
Otherwise, we all know where the OWS thread is, we just don't know where their answers are.

Nov. 18 Rep. Deutch, D-Fla., proposed a constitutional amendment that would effectively overturn Citizens United and reform our electoral system by: clarifying that private business entities are not people and are not entitled to the rights outlined in the Constitution; affirming that they can be regulated by people through the legislature; prohibiting business corporations and 501(c)(6) entities from making election contributions or expenditures in any election or ballot measure vote; and empowering the Congress and states to regulate electioneering.
The editors must admit that this proposed amendment is a tangible — though nascent — result of what the “disorganized bands really want.”
This is, of course, not to mention the increased media attention paid to income and wealth inequality and the increased attention paid to the disproportionately violent reactions on the part of some police officers.

Feh, go back and slowly read that thread and you may have a different opinion.
Simple truths I think we can apply across the board.
1.)Police brutality is unacceptable, even if I think the group protesting is retarded they must pose a public safety threat. I don't think that has been established at all.
2.)Every movement has assholes that will get painted by the opposing viewpoint as the entire movement.
3.)Peeker and I disagree on the value of the actual message versus awareness (this can obviously be clouded by political bias, though I try to think logically/mathematically).
4.)Peeker also put alot of words in my mouth in that thread. Mostly because I lack the intelligence to come up with them myself.
oh and PICTURES AND CHERRYPICKING. Let's see what develops now that the weather has changed.

“I am urging the parents of black and Latino youngsters particularly to not let their children go out wearing hoodies,” Rivera said on “Fox & Friends.” “I think the hoodie is as much responsible for Trayvon Martin’s death as George Zimmerman was.”
