Kentucky, Missouri, Florida St., UNC. Tried something different this year- only looked at 2 sites for any research and did not allow myself more than 30 seconds to make a pick. It's set up for the Buckeyes to make a run at the final four but I'll predict their usual flame out in the sweet 16= a WVU/OSU match in Pittsburgh should be a true neutral site/tourney atmosphere.

I think Ohio State's guys enjoy this uptempo game. It's a refreshing change from the slower games in the B10.

Gonzaga looked really good today, albeit against a bad WVU team who is one of the dumbest in CBB. Should be a decent test for Ohio State. It'd be nice for them to get tested early in the tournament so they don't piss down their leg when they're in a dogfight later.

Early March Madness thoughts:

1) If Melo's suspension was issued by Syracuse and not the NCAA, do you think its an accident that it wasn't until after the tourney draw, as to not jeopardize their #1 seeding?

2) With 3 or 4 games on at a time, my remote is smoking. I need picture in a picture in a picture in a picture. And when can I hit the john??? My bladder is being stretched to its limits!

3) Was pulling for VCU again. Tough way to lose. Led most of the way.

4) There are times when the Buckeyes try to force feed the ball to Sullinger TOO much. Especially when he's struggling. They work so hard to get him into the flow of the game, that they often disrupt the whole team's rhythm.

5) Loved OUs beating of scUM.

6) Syracuse was handed their game vs NC Asheville. What I hated most was Boheim's comment afterwards. "Luck had nothing to do with it, the better team won." Way to have a little humility when your team gets handed a game by the refs. How about a little props to the opponent.

7) Contrast that response to Duke's Coach K's response when his team got upset. He handed all the props to Lehigh.

8) What a freaking insane run by UK over Iowa State. Tied at 42 and then UK goes on a 20-2 run. Sharks smelling blood.

9) Big 10 doing well. A big change from football. Hope they keep it up. Although the Michigan loss was still wonderful.

10) Speaking of OU, how about them having a 12-13 match-up with USF after USF upset Temple.

Eyo can now head down to the arena next weekend and watch his favorite future NBA player. Be nice for the Big10 to get 5 into the sweet 16 but Purdue has it's work cut out for it. Shhhhh. Catholic high schools don't recruit. Each prospective student makes their choice based solely on academia, completely free from any real or perceived pressure from anyone associated with the school's athletic department.

After a quick google search, I am sad to report we forgot about Loyola MD and Detroit the only two 15 seeds to lose. St. Iggy is rolling in his grave- may they be sentenced to random masses taking up half of a school day, saying the Our Father before every practice and a dress code that would make the NFL look lax.
