Like most social issues it isn't black or white and the Dems "choice" is much more reasonable in most situations then the Repubs "slippery slope" absolutism. A nuanced position that includes an option in cases like this and rape is a winner.

If it is overturned, Obama would look like a loser but it also could help rally his base. If it is upheld, he will look like a winner but simply having this in the news at all could invigorate the folks who dislike it. I can't figure out how this will affect the election.

Regardless, this still plays second fiddle to the economy.
