Ben Broussard

Not sure if anyone is planning on going to spring training this year, but Ben Broussard is going to be playing at Woodjock 2012, which takes place at Toby Keith's I Love this Bar.

Matt Williams is the host. Along with Broussard, Matt Williams, Huston Street, Bronson Arroyo, Peter Gammons, and Joe Nichols will be performing.

All of the proceeds go to the RBI Foundation.

Anyone ever been?

I'd be there in a second but I already have tickets to the christian rock concert that night. Jars Of Clay is headlining.

Just some great music everywhere that night I guess.

For a Christian 90's band Jars of Clay didn't suck.

Also, if you go to "Toby Keith's I Love This Bar" you should be impaled by a telephone pole.

You have to add in the "For a Christian 90's Band" part.

That's a REALLY low bar.

Truth.

Where I went to college there were a LOT of very religious students who listened to nothing but christian rock. Everything from Steven Curtis Chapman to Tourniquet...all of it intolerable.

But, every once in a while, they would convert someone and convince them to get rid of all of their secular music. And there I'd be.

Neck...maybe if you tell them how much of an Indians and Wedge fan you are they will play you your favorite Red Solo cup song, Boot Scoot'n Boogy and some of those line dances you probably love. :salute:

I grew up in a really fundamentalist household, so that stuff was as close to real music as I was allowed to listen to until college when I heard about five notes of a Pixies song and was rid of it forever.

I just have a mountainous amount of really useless knowledge about awful 1990s Christian Rock sitting in my head and nothing to do with it. Like the ability to quote lyrics to the most banal, horrendous DC Talk and Audio Adrenaline songs. My family once drove four hours to go see, I'm not making this up...PETRA.

It's a horrible curse.
