I think if you're going to blow a first round pick on a suspected douchebag, you just use that pick to get Djax from Philly. At least we KNOW he's a douchebag, and then you're assured of at least getting the first round talent. Last time we drafted the primadonna WR, we only got one year of talent and 5 years of assbagery.

Thus my assertion he might be available for a 2nd - the 2nd that you'd have to trade to Philly for him after they Franchise him. Philly is willing to deal him, but they want something for their trouble - bet on the Franchise tag.

PS - I don't even make this move unless you get RG3. These are the Cleveland fuckin' Browns. Unless you bring in a big name talent like RG3 (who you can sell to DJax as Vick Only Smarter), he will be incredibly unenthused about being shipped to the North Coast.

And if you trade for DJax and try to sell him on Colt fuckin' McCoy, you will have a locker room disaster almost immediately. You stick with Colt, you draft a WR with that 2nd that won't have the NFL cred to become a massive distraction as a Rook.

I'm down with this, cuz I just never get tired of dudes whining that we have the worst WR corps in the United States and that we can't judge so-and-so cuz the WR's are so bad and how Holmgren & Co are purposely trying to lose so they can laugh their way to the platinum-lined vaults of their Agent's palatial mansion for a huge party with hookers and blow. Those stories are a hoot.

I also acknowledge that those 2 WR's are the only ones that seem to quit and have been trouble for their teams. Most talented WR's are noble gentlemen that are team-first types, but these 2 seem to be more interested in money and themselves, which is certainly not what being a WR is about.

Sure, they're super-talented and would probably play hard if they got paid and had a competent QB throwing to them, but why do that when we can draft an unknown who will end up just like them (if we're lucky enough that he has their success)?

And for a moment of actual adult conversation... DJax is the WR we need, skill-set-wise. Bowe is nice, so is Colston, but the speedy deep threat home-run dude is the dude we're missing. Wayne I wouldn't bother with since he's up there in age and will be looking for a Ring Team, Bowe and Colston and VJax are both good sized possession guys, maybe Meachum is the closest to home-run after DJax, but I'm not sure he'll ever be on DJax's level.

Not that I would be unhappy with Bowe or Colston or VJax... just that DJax is the guy that I feel would provide the biggest spark.

IF you can get him to come here and IF you can keep him happy which will only have a chance IF we get a real QB.

If they keep Colt at QB, I'm not sure I care what WR they bring in here. Or if they bring any WR in at all. Or if they even play.
