Whitney Houston. :thud:

Never would have guessed that she'd go before Bobby Brown.

Nice LP.

Great voice.

She had a great voice and that anthem was excellent (albeit pre-recorded though no one gives her shit for that).

Other than that, if you keep walking against traffic on a busy street at some point they'll be picking parts of you off the pavement.

And damn if she didn't keep stepping back into the street.

Too bad. Addiction is a motherfucker and you hope her kid is able to avoid those pitfalls and lead a full and productive life. But Saturday had been coming as sure as the 7am train for two decades.

Nobody cared about her Friday night.

My library system has 18 holds on The Bodyguard movie. None were placed before Saturday. We have 77 holds on her greatest hits CD. Three were placed before Saturday.

Are people sad she died or feeling guilty they didn't care about her anymore?

I don't know. For 20 years she was a cracked out fuck p that was pissing away a gift from God by continually making horrible choices.

Today she's a legendary martyr.

Always have had trouble trying to figure out why this goes on. No one gave a fuck about her greatness last week like you said.

That kid is half Whitney and half Bobby, which equals all fucked up. Sad to say, but her story isn't going to end well either.

Good point. And she's about at the age where making those bad decisions has serious and lasting ramifications. The fact she was admitted to the hospital Saturday after this went down for 'stress-related issues' does not bode well.

At all.

Wait...people still rent movies and CD's at the library??

Here's what is most awesome.

For 6 years it is ever the same on these boards. It is as predictable as ordering a Big Mac.

Talented yet troubled celeb dies in a cloud.

Tasteless jokes are made.

Someone gets offended ("too soon, man")

Lee is an a-hole

Someone who is a fan to a degree takes some umbrage. Sometimes it is mild (I mean, no dude is gonna go out his way to make a big deal about Whitney Houston) ; other times ugly and :pop: ensues.

Peeker moralizes as if he's Dana Carvey playing an on-line Jimmy Stewart and we just didn't make the connection about whatever evils were involved. (Thank God we now know about the dangers of mixing coke, scripts, booze and a co-dependent relationship with Bobby Brown; hooray, we're saved!)

Lee is an a-hole.

Onto the next one.

Rinse, lather, repeat. :dead:

Please don't forget the redundant (if not set-your-watch-to-it) recaps from our resident narrator. ;-) ;)

And by the way- you just summed up every message board everywhere for every topic. I'm not sure how this differs from the standard August Browns thread ("He looks great!!!!")
or April pre-draft thread ("You gotta go QB/BPA/Area of Need!!!!!") or the Dolans Are Cheap threads in December or, well, any thread at pretty much any time.

Perhaps if we all just go with 'Ibid' and delete the forums from out favorite bar and.....?

We do have the 'Lee is an a-hole' thing down though. I think we can all agree on that. :nanner:

My guess is Mother was looking for some gay porn on YouTube when he stumbled across something close to what he typed in.

Eh, Marc Maron tweeted it. I thought it was interesting enough to put here.

I don't know who Mark Maron is. Is that your pornography supplier?

Nope. He was Kaz Tadano's personal catcher. I was searching "Kaz Tadano pitching to Marc Maron" when that Chris Cornell nonsense popped up.

Strange.

But I definitely wasn't searching for gay porn. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Funny story of when I typed in 'John Amaechi dunks the in face of...' well... not so much funny as potentially illegal..anyway...

But we can agree that e0y2e3 is an asshole. Not even debatable.

Where's the sanctimonious lecture about the uniqueness of her ability, and how we're all assholes for not giving props to a modern day great?

This will never not be funny. :

Tadano said "I was young, playing baseball, and going to college and my teammates and I needed money" and "I'm not gay."

Marc Maron's tweets really aren't that good, I got sick of them filling up my timeline with his babbling coffee faggotry. His stand up is really really meh. But he's very good unscripted on other shows.
