The Vest to take admin position at Akron??

Unread postby Spin » Thu Feb 02, 2012 2:15 am

The rumor going around the sports talk shows has Jim Tressel taking an administrative position with the University of Akron athletics department, and it being announced tomorrow.

Then there's this http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2012/02 ... versi.html

WKRK also reported that The Vest helped Akron with its head coach search.

Fuck...
So Lingerie Football is hiring more athletic women to "legitimize" the sport?

Translated: One team hired masculine women to win, everyone else followed suit, and they can't market it as sexy babes frolicking around.

I've seen that it would be an administration position, but not in the athletic department. Not sure if the show cause would extend to the athletic department (I think it does) but it won't to the administration office. Rumor I saw was academic advising for the university, not athletic dept.

First priority is fund raising to build a new basketball arena.

So Akron will have to forfeit any possible bowl appearances for 5 years?

Ballsy move.

FUDU was being facetious SSS. And no show cause repercussions if he's in an academic role as opposed to athletic role.

His job is basically to get money for projects, the first one being a new basketball arena. That was something he was very good at at Ohio State, and everywhere else he has coached. He is just about the perfect person for that position.

Whether he is involved with athletics later on, anybody could guess.
