Pro Bowl - Did Anyone Even Watch?

After the Childress thread, I figured we could use something with far less meaning. True story

Last night, my wife is on the phone with her dad. Suddenly, she gives me the handset and mouths "He wants to talk to you". She looks bewildered and I suddenly panic; unless we're there in person I speak to my father-in-law once a year on Christmas for about 30 seconds.
"You watching the game?"

"No, the All Star game"
NHL - I thought that was in February
"No, no, the FOOTBALL game"
Senior Bowl? - At this point I am seriously racking my brain to figure out what the hell this guy is talking about

I'd personally rather watch Cactus League baseball or preseason NBA hoops. Wish they'd kill that game mercifully rather than let the cancer of idiocy do it.

So no, didn't watch but two minutes when I happened to also be wondering what the hell was on. Rather than root for severe injuries to show the NFL how dumb the game was, I turned on USWNT Olympic soccer qualifying finals.

I didn't watch (haven't in years) but they tied up a radio station to broadcast the fucker on the radio. Why? The only thing I would rather do less than watch the thing is listen to it on the radio.

It's been said before but it needs to be done much more like the NBA AS weekend, rotate the location so fans can actually go to it and skills challenge for players AND fans. The biggest problem is when to hold this event, no way it will take place mid season (nor should it, owners want no part of that) but end of season is too close to SB.

The NBA ASG isn't perfect but it is way better than it's NFL counter part and is at least a place to start.
