Meh.
Show me a game day film of a college coach with a gimmicky offense who has made the transition successfully to Sunday and I'll show you JoePaPervEnabler actually coaching a game and both will be the same age.
Only way Cheat Kelly makes the leap is if the spread is legitimized on Sunday.

Agree.
If he's smart, Chip Kelly will never ever ever ever leave college football.

How so?
Give me one example of a college coach without some NFL roots running a non-pro style O making a decent transition since Barruh left Norman running a veer, and that's got all sorts of qualifiers on it.

San Francisco, the Jets, maybe Baltimore; those are the kinds of places that'd make sense to me. Even teams like Arizona, Seattle, and Kansas City would make more sense than Washington or Miami.

I don't think he goes to Washington b/c they're pretty far away.
I think Miami becomes immeasurably better with Peyton, and that team is actually pretty solid most other places. Drawback - have to play outdoors, have to play Tom Brady twice a year.
Same goes for the Jets.
Arizona makes some sense b/c of the dome.
Seattle and KC are also outdoor venues that are in about the same boat as Miami & NYJ.
San Fran... I just don't see Peyton wanting to deal with a coach like Harbaugh.
And Baltimore ain't giving up on their Flacco yet.
Houston would be probabaly #1 on his wish list. Dome, good team around him, chance to stick it to the Colts twice a year.

You may be right with Mangini and it ticks me off because the way the situation was when he was hired in Cleveland prevented that from EVER happening here.
Mangini now has had the time off to gain the perspective he needs to become the kind of coach who can win a Super Bowl. If he had stayed here, it would've been more losing seasons before the inevitable firing.
Someone will give him a chance at some point, he won't make the same mistakes he made in Cleveland and New York, and then we'll hear the inevitable interview about "how much he learned from his time in Cleveland."
Not saying I want Mangini back, but this is a prediction I can see coming true.
Return to Cleveland Browns & The NFL
