Williams
Decker
Dodson
Neal
Reeves

FWIW, nevada has given the == on the first three on that list

I expect them to take a couple more though. Attrition is going on as we speak.

Really belongs in the other thread but it makes sense here as well. Saw it on a board elsewhere.

So it looks like we may have more room than we all had originally thought. Jeremy Cash is out. I liked Cash and thought he had great upside, but I am sure whoever takes his schollie will too. Rumors that PeeWee Gambrell is out too. I think it is just a matter of time until Chris Carter, Tommy Brown and a couple of others go too. I think we could see 7 more in this class, so I will put down my list in order of what I think likelihood of ending up a Buckeye:

1. Decker
2. Perkins
3. Williams (2 LBs?)
4. O'Connor
5. Neal
6. Diamond
7. Dodson

Seven feels like a stretch, but I got a feeling we could see this class balloon to 25-26 (26 will be OK with early enrollees).

If the Buckeyes finish with this 7 I would be FIRED UP! 6 OL in the class would go a long way to fixing Bollman's disaster (3 Tackles!). Not sure I really want 4 LBs, (Perry, Roberts, Williams and Perkins) but LB depth is an issue and the staff seems to love Williams and Perkins. I am less impressed with both, but again, I know I am not a professional talent evaluator.

I really would have liked to see the Bucks get a couple of more athletes/WR, but Neal should be good.

Remember, we can only oversign by 3. There is a question as to whether we could oversign to 88 or 85 that is unanswered, given that the oversigning rule is B1G and not NCAA. So we may be able to sign 88 but need to get down to 82 by august, but I think that would piss off the B1G pretty well, and they would have to document why they are oversigning and exactly how they got down to 82 either way.

Only the attrition that occurs before feb will be able to be used this year.

But certainly Cash is surprise that you can finally count as extra unplanned space.

I do think 7 is a possibility.

Second Domino.... Joey O'Connor. Love this kid (and Decker). He is one of those athletic G/T tweeners that make amazing guards, but mediocre tackles. As long as we get the tackles to move him in, life will be GREAT.

Looking a lot like Williams is a Buckeye. Not shocking news, but lots of twitter chatter between him and recent commit David Perkins seem to indicate Williams is on board.

If Williams comes, smart money is on Armani Reeves wearing S&G as well. Reeves may actually be the more important of the two with the recent CB attrition.

Nevada still has his === on Dodson.

Diamond has been a question mark since day one and no one knows nor will know what he is doing until his announcment special on 2/3, so he's already an after signing day guy and Neal isn't going to decide until after 2/10 (he is taking a visit that weekend to see Dick-Rod).

e0, not trying to kick a gift horse in the mouth, and not trying to insult you either, but I really just couldn't care less about what/who Nev has an equals sign next to. It doesn't even register as a data point for me. I'd rather take who you think will commit as a data point than Nevada. No BS. That said I hope "he's" right, along with the other hordes of buckeyes that have counted him as in since Meyer made contact.

Personally I think the kid is undecided and Meyers upcoming in home will be our last shot, cause I think as of right now he sticks with UW,

Agree on Diamond, that was just my own assessment and feeling that we'd get him, which I'm now starting to waver on.

Williams is a Buckeye, multiple reports. Hopefully he brings Reeves too. scUMmers tend to think that Reeves is 50:50 tOSU:scUM, I have a feeling he ends up with Williams.

I am souring Diamond as well, not just because he is an after signing day guy, but I am starting to think he will end up at scUM. I have always preferred Decker (more upside, little rougher around the edges). Diamond is a Tackle in the Bollman sense, I think we see a lot more athletes at Tackle under Warriner and Meyer. I want to see the fleet footed tackles, getting more excited about Fragel at Tackle.

scUM grabbing Diamond would be just insanity.

Either way, kid is using this recruiting experience to be as dramatic as possible so who in the hell knows what ends up happening.

He's had his fun with the OSU fan-base that much is for sure.

Honestly, I have generally preferred BN over the years, but there is no question that Bill Greene is the best in the business. I am actually thinking that BN's sources inside the WHAC have dried up some since the regime change. There is way less real insider stuff coming off of BN, actually you can get more off of Twitter.

Scout has been ahead of BN for the last month or so. Hell some of the premium posters are breaking more stuff on BN$ than the staff. Makes you wonder who on the old staff was the leak.

Yah this is true and will only be moreso the case moving forward.

Inside info, per say, has never been part of what I paid for on these, probably explains my disposition.

Most of the time I'd rather check out the specifics and actual quotes and make my own predictions anyways. Too many times over the years inside info has been wrong, then people want to blame or point fingers. We are talking 17-18 years olds having ego's stroked and lies told to them on a daily basis. You can spare me any sure bets in this game, particularly from out of staters.

^ Bam Bradley dooped everyone, including Meyer. SOMEONE needs to figure out WTF happened before that All-Star game, not because losing him is a huge deal, but just because damn that was a complete 180.

Why would you call it a 180? I never had warm feelings from anything the kid said, to me he always seemed like he would go his own route, which may or may not include attending OSU

I am not just talking inside info on recruiting, I am talking inside info on the team itself.... what is going on in camp, who is passing the eye test, which players are moving up the DC. etc.

Granted not much of that going on right now, but it seemed like news to the BN staff that the 6am workouts had moved from 6-5 then from 5-4. That news was broken on their boards by a guy that knows a player. In year's past that would have been released by the staff and would have shown up in a boarding house or something. The BH has kind of become a place where they talk about stuff from outside the WHAC (see today's Mel Kiper bullshit).

Because every indication is that after his visit he did silent verbal to Urban (to play star) with the intention on committing at the All-Star game.

The OSU staff was fully expecting that committment.

Yah, well, this is one of those things, one of those reasons I dont buy into "inside info" on recruits, you couldn't find one single quote from the kid in two years that would give that indication in the slightest but all of a sudden kid breaks from his very established pattern and he was a silent verbal?

Horseshit IMO. Not saying that to you e0.
