"We Could Be Tebows"

Unread postby aclayman » Wed Dec 14, 2011 6:40 pm

Chris Hutchison, this is comedy gold. And someone is almost guaranteed to steal it from you.

***Speaking of the Chosen One, I came to bed the other night singing a song I made up - "We Could Be Tebows", to the tune of David Bowie's "Heroes" - and my wife gave me a stare of great dislike. When I asked her why, she informed me that not only does she dislike Tim Tebow (heathen), but she also dislikes David Bowie.

So I told her that she would certainly not enjoy attending a concert by David Tebowie, Tim Tebow's stage name where he sings all the hits of David Bowie with alternative Christian lyrics.

The bed was very cold that night. Sometimes she is just humorless.

Thanks. Was listening to Bowie the other day and it was a natural fit.

The lyrics I sang to her:

I, I wish we could run
Like the Broncos
Like Broncos can run.

Though nothing, nothing will keep us together
We can beat them, forever and ever
Oh, we could be Tebows just for one day.

Yep, "We Could Be Tebows" is stuck in my head now.

Only it's the Wallflowers' version from the Godzilla soundtrack. Maybe Mrs. Hiko would prefer that one. You'll have to try it and get back to us.
Q: What is the best/craziest location you've ever gotten lucky A: Mens room. Death Valley. (Fire Marshall Bill, 08/13/10)

...doesn't mean we cannot call you a spade when you are one. (donnyunitas, 10/21/09)

Plus it's kinda personal for me... I have a lot of family and friends who are Ducks... (angrybeaver, 11/08/09)

Since 'We could be Tebows' has been stuck in my head for about the past 3 weeks, I thought I'd share this. We could be Tebows is catchy, but this may be better

The radio DJ in Columbus does a Tebow song to Pearl Jam's Even Flow. Does a new version about every other day depending on what miracle Tebow has performed that week. This morning he played a clip of all 161 times Tebow's name was mentioned on Sportscenter yesterday. Once every 18 seconds.

I guess we now also know what percentage of Americans are retarded.

It's lower than I thought it would be.

That was fantastic.

I never did get the "they said I couldn't do it" bullshit commercial

While I'm not Jimmy Fallon fan, it's pretty funny.
Phil Taylor blocked me for telling him to get to training camp. F*** that guy.

That was quality.

I will be rooting oh-so-hard for the Pats this weekend to put this heinous story to bed.

As if BSPN would let that happen...

Been watching football for 20+ years, and let me tell you, God seems like a total front runner. Seems like he's always helping the guy who wins the game, never the loser...... flipping from one team to the next week to week.

What a fucking gravytrainer.

Must say that it was interesting that the character is named Tebowie, but it's hardly difficult to make that word combination, I suppose.

Still, SNL, you may forward all proceeds to Hiko, C/O The Cleveland Fan.com, or my street address, Broken Down Van By The River.
