If they sign him, expect another trade down. He is a Heckart guy. This move would not be surprising in the least.

SD:

Didn't want that bum when he got run from the Philly Locker room , and damn sure don't want him now after Skelton staked him out and dried his hide.

What a useless POS. Blech.

He sounds like a ruhtard, too.

"In five NFL seasons Kolb has posted a 76.1 quarterback rating with 20 touchdowns and 22 interceptions."

Don't we have a few guys already that are capable of that? Shiiiiii, give me Thaddeus Lewis or whatever that benchwarmers name is first.

Yeah, but he never got to play with a high powered offense like the Browns.

I don't see this coming to fruition...... But it pisses me off/doesn't surprise me one bit that they're looking at him.

Pure speculation by Grossi. So many IF, THEN statements it reminds me of my first Fortran program. Nothing to see here, unless KK happens to be represented by Bob Lo Monte.

Pass. I have never seen so much attention paid to one guy who is vastly unproven. He has done nothing, ever and has been a hot commodity for 2 years if he is cut.

Well, he'd at least be an upgrade over Colteca McWallace...

TO be completely frank, I dont think he is. Bigger contract, and the numbers that he has put up over time have been underwhelming and in a VASTLY more powerful offense. I think that if you put Colt in his situation (with OTA's and time on the bench to grasp the playbook) he could have a very similar track record. If Kolb was on the Browns last year, I would put paychecks on him posting a QB rating around 80 with 16-17 td's and 8-9 Int.

Just eyeballing numbers and play styles, but there's nothing about Kolb that suggests to me that he has any more capability than either of the QB's already on the roster. Could be a Jeff Garcia type backup in many places, capable of winning games with a good offense.....but nothing special.

I will present you no numbers because numbers are stupid.

I will only present that I have watched both QB's play and one of them looks like a borderline starter/backup and one is clearly a backup.

I didn't say he was MUCH better, just that he was better. Colt has no upside. Kolb has about an 8% upside. (there's your numbers! ;-) ;) )

Can Kevin Kolb complete a four-yard pass over the middle on a 3rd-and-9 from his own 21? ? If so, he might be a good fit.

Kolb has the edge on yards per attempt over McCoy and that's IT.. I feel like that is a symptom of the Shurmur ... well.. I was going to call it the "Shurmur Offense" But I don't think that "Offense" is the right word..

So, sure if the Browns want to over pay for a guy who is NO BETTER than the guy we have, I think it's a brilliant strategy for making sure we remain worst in the league for years to come...
I substitute teach in Rhode Island. There are lots of Red Sox and Patriots fans. Students ask what my favorite teams are and I always answer honestly and proudly. They almost always laugh, but they are under the age of 14 and have never had a bad team to root for.

When an adult asks the same question, I respond similarly and get the, "ah, you from Cleveland?" and I reply, "yea" and am given his condolences.

However, the cake was taken when I was watching the Browns at a bar and was disgusted/disappointed, etc. The bartender says "yea, I know how you feel" I say, "Oh, really, how so?" his response, "yea, Man, I tell you, losing the Super Bowl twice to the Giants, just really sucked"

I wanted to punch him in his fat face.
