YOU BLOW!!!

HOW COULD YOU NOT HAVE LOVED THE NEW WORLD!!!!!

(I get not liking Malick, really have no issues with not liking him as I'm certainly not his biggest fan, I just really respect what he tried with Tree of Life)

I didn't see Tree of Life (mainly b/c he directed it). I respected what he tried with A Thin Red Line, I just thought it was a meandering pointless film (after they took the hill). To me, his movies just drift along without seeming purpose, and are thus defended as "art house" or "true to life". I don't watch movies to watch "true to life". I want a solid story with a beginning, middle, and end. If I want "true to life", I'll go sit at the bus station.

I don't think the guy is incompetent, and I don't mock people for liking him. I just don't happen to be one who appreciates his work.

1. No matter how awful the movie, you will find at least one reviewer that loves it. I'm not sure if they're under contract from the distributor or they're just trying to be contrarian, but I could make a movie about me taking a dump in a cup and some reviewer would claim it was brilliant cinema.

2. I was in London this summer, and their food is good. Steak pie... good. Boar... good. Chips... good. Mmmmmm... pub food.

London pub food is good, as long as you aren't at one of those infernal chain pubs that all serve the same menu. Those are ok to drink at, but I'd never reccomend eating at one.

The Atlas and Harwood Arms down in Fullham are outstanding. The Harwood Arms actually has a Michelin Star, and the best Scotch Egg in the UK.

It does look fun. Nice simple plot line. Plane crash. Must find civilization before we die, oh, and the wolves are mean.

I see that Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Borefest is getting re-released. Awesome. I can't wait to avoid that like the plague.

Jar-Jar Binks, you gotta be fukkin kiddin me.

My girls don't even know Episodes 1-3 exist, and they like Star Wars.

Plus: It looks like there are bears, too.

Minus: I don't think there are black bears. Those are the best bears.

I don't know that they are the best bears. They are the best dancers, though. Other than that I think all bears are the same.
