And the Browns tried to pry Flynn away from the Packers in the summer of 2010. It wouldn't surprise me if the Browns were the ones to get Scott Mitchelled this offseason. All it costs is Lerner's money and he's shown he's more than inclined to piss it away.

This org has also shown it's more than inclined to fuck shit up.

Flynn is 6'2" tall and 220lbs with an average arm and good accuracy.

That sounds like every fucking QB Holmgren talks about, signs and drafts. Let me know when he finds one.

I'd rather see them get Griffin in the draft than take a chance on someone's backup. Isn't that what they did with Wallace? He's not bad but he's not the answer as a starting QB.

If they draft a quarterback, it will have to be Griffin, since Luck is presumably going to the Colts. Hopefully with the #4 pick, and St. Louis and Minnesota ahead of them, the Browns won't have to trade up to get him with their top pick.

Any other bottom-barrel franchise would take Griffin, and the best WR or RT available, in the first round (the other two positions that need addressed the most). But this is the Browns, and that would make too much sense. So I bet they will overpay the Packers for Flynn and end up with two backup quarterbacks competing for the starting job.

As a wise man once said, if you have two quarterbacks, you really have zero.

They could. But then he's making about $16m/yr to back up Rodgers if they don't deal him and that franchise tag is a one year tender. That means the team he's dealt to would have to negotiate a long term deal if they wanted to keep him anyway because the team that trades for him doesn't get the exclusive negotiating rights.
