Yep, the first part of a bowl game is certainly an indication of how many snaps a guy has taken under center for the season.

You know what I'm impressed with so far, he is doing what he should be doing to a weaker opponent. No fuckin around and taking time to get into rhythm and all that.

My smart as answer wasn't directed at you, it was the guy who shrugged off the fact that he took more snaps under center than Cam with a "I don't see it."

Dude, just about any QB from 8 years old on up can learn to take a snap from under center in about 25 seconds. How hard can it be for him to learn to do this after, say, three practices?

Biggest thing to watch (I'm at work and can't) is his deep ball accuracy. It's FANTASTIC.

To be fair FMB, that is why a SHIT TON of NFL snaps are now taken out of the shotgun. It goes back to lead's point re pass rushing being the only defense allowed anymore. Teams run the shotgun to get the quick read on the blitz more... and more... and more.

Can't look at that alone. It wasn't but 3 years ago that a guy now in the NFL completed 76.7% of his throws for Texas.

But watch the shake and the strength in the pocket along with the release. That's impressive. His arm is okay. Not truly big but big enough. I'd like to see a 20 yard out.

As bow says, his stock is bound to drop, right now he is flying high as hell and is about to go through many months of draftniks doing nothing but trying and finding things to come at him about. I've watched him more than enough to be sold, but rest assured, the story is not going to be all rainbows and flowers over the next few months. Too many people with too much invested and too much time on their hands to not have critiques springing up.
