This economy stinks!

Anyone else out there trying to find a job in Northeast Ohio? There's nothing out there! I was laid off four months ago by the US Postal Service and despite pursuing close to 50 open jobs, nothing has materialized and I'm still sucking off the unemployment teet. Every good job has seemingly hundreds of applicants. And everything else is either entry level or pays criminally low wages. It's getting really tough to pay alimony and try to pay off massive amounts of debt on an unemployment income. Any advice or cash donations would be greatly appreciated.

I read an article that said that it will take most people who were laid off 10 years to get back to their old wage level. You may have to bite the bullet and take an entry level job and start working your way back up. If you got mad skills, you will move up soon enough. I got laid off from a bank and had to take a job that was 25% less base pay just to have a job. I am lucky in that just three years later I am pretty close to where I was after a few promotions.
