Couple pieces of news:

First, Christian Eyenga has apparently grown 2 inches over the summer. He's now 6'7.

Second, It would appear that Baron Davis may make himself a problem. He's missed 3 practices in a row with back problems. He didn't show up at all to practice today, looking for a second opinion on his back. I have no idea if they're actually there or if he's just trying to make a point about him wanting to be amnistied. My money is on him becoming a problem though.

Jekyll and Hyde stuff with the limited knowledge. First it was communicated that he would be retained, as camp neared that changed, he was at the first practice saying the right things (oming off the bench), but hurt his back on the first run. He was held out the second day for treatment, now looking at the look on Scott's face when talking about the second opinion its either not in Scott's hands (who said he wanted him on the team) or Scott is seeing a re-run about to occur.

I still have a hard time making economic sense of using the amnesty on him, but feh, that limited knowledge thing...

Didn't Dave Cowens have a late growth spurt? Another year or two and the Cavs will ahve a center.

He'd have to make himself NOT a problem.

Guys annually in the running for malcontent of the year, can't for the life of me understand one thinking they are going to get positives out of the guy.

Christ, you gotta young point guard you drafted number one. You can't let this clown pollute him for a minute.

Downside risks to keeping him:

Rob Kyrie Irving of playing time
Piss poor attitude taints Kyrie
Team will win more games and lose ping pong balls
Piss poor attitude undermines head coach who needs to earn respect from young players

Upside to keeping him:

Support local economy through additional orders of pizzas and wings

Also looks like a consensus according to fat CavsBob. Very least this eliminates the thought he may help us win a meaningless game or two ruining the ping-pong magic. Grant probably used some of that "flexibility" to sign Parker. Smart play Grant.

I guess if you're the Cavs, you have to at least pretend like you're trying to win. From that vein, Parker is a perfect signing. He doesn't really bring anything to the table. He can't handle the ball, he can't create his own shot, and he can't move his feet on D. Teams constantly pick on him defensively with smaller, quicker players. But he's a good guy, and you gotta have some vets around to help in the locker room and with the head coach.

A quick look at Parker's career stats show that when he had those couple good years in TOR, he shot 48% from the field, 44% from 3, and averaged 12.5 ppg. First year here with LeShitHead, 43% FG/41% 3PT. Last year, 39% from the floor and 37% from 3. And just 8 PPG in 30 min/night.

If unable to unload Parker it remains a 1 year deal and is basically as meaningless as Joey Graham. This would not and did not prevent anything from happening.

I think I just bumped my Cavs win total up 2 games with this signing. I mean those extra 8 points a game from Parker are going to be key.

The Cavs are going to have the lowest point total per game in NBA history this year.

I dunno. At least Parker will be where he's supposed to be on both ends of the floor. Has to be a plus for Kyrie's development over having wing players nowhere near where they should be.

And before we rip on AP too much, lets remind ourselves of the top free agents ever signed by the Cavs outside the Lebron era. List about a dozen or so and then see how a washed up Anthony Parker pretty much fits right in.

Well now that we know he won't be playing (helping) the Cavaliers win any games I lean even more to just paying him to sit around. The arguements for keeping and letting him go have been made, and it will finally be resolved Friday (as far as amnesty).

Skyrim is just Oblivion with a better storyline(s), better graphics, better menus, better game mechanics, better 3rd-person view, and dragons... just better everything. And you're right, it is epic. I'm at just over 75 hours (level 42) with my first character and I might be halfway through the main storyline.

Can someone tell me why in the world did the Cavs not give up 1 of there 2 2012 2nd round draft picks or even 1 of there 4 2nd round draft picks in the 2013 draft to Dallas for Rudy Fernadez and Corey BRewer.

Both could come right on this team and start for the Cavs. Then they would not have needed to resign Parker.
