Browns/Steelers Thursday Night

Unread postby Triple-S » Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:14 pm

You know that episode of south park where Stan's forced to coach a peewee hockey team, and they end up having to play the Red Wings in place of the Avalanche, and the kids get the living shit kicked out of them?

That's this game.

Anyways, Steelers 41, Browns 6.

Call your bookie. The Browns are only 14 point underdogs. Besides booze, what else is in the Vegas water? It could at least be 17....

At this point, the Steelers are the one team that I'd gladly sacrifice draft position to beat. But it ain't gonna happen.

This is a DVR game. Used in conjunction with the CBS Sportsline play-by-play list, so I know where to stop fast-forwarding.

Things in sports that make me want to vomit:

Everything about college football after the conference championships
The NBA
The Tim Tebow Media Coverage
Brett Favre Rumors
Northeast Ohio Steelers Fans
Watching a Browns-Steelers game without even an ounce of hope.

Interesting fact... looking through the 6 playoff games in the 2 fantasy leagues I'm in, and all 12 of those teams only have one player (the Steelers D) going tonight.

Should be a thriller.

it's all about the Inbred making another playoff run.

Steelers are 14.5 point favorites. Browns have been within 14 points of Pittsburgh (including wins) 15 out of 25 games since 1999. I know it feels like every Browns' team is worse than the last one but they have all been terrible.

I'm taking the Browns and the points.

IIRC aren't the numbers on road teams in short weeks rather abysmal?

I'd think Steelers - 26 tonight.

Wow, so the Browns have lost to the Steelers by at least 2 touchdowns only 40% of the time? That's impressive.

And allnthis time I thought they'd been kicking our ass.

They've got to get a touchdown on the opening drive.

Was McCoy touched down when his elbow hit the ground?

Because he dove at the goal line- wasn't thrown down.

There must have been contact of some type as he was going down. That's why ball was marked when his elbow touched.

Because he dove at the goal line- wasn't thrown down.

There must have been contact of some type as he was going down. That's why ball was marked when his elbow touched.

Yeah, looked like someone had a hold of his leg or foot.

On the other side of the ball...could it have been any easier for those clowns to score that TD?! This could be a really long night.

Final note: I hate Pat Shurmur.

Here comes the "we started out well and we're only down 4 now so let's try to keep it close" offensive play calling.
