If we can set aside URBAmania for a moment, there's a huge college basketball game tonight between Duke and Ohio State.

Lebron is even gonna be there! I'll be there too, and I might "accidentally" take my talents to his knee.

I am looking forward to this game. A friend at work was looking for tickets and the cheapest he saw were $350 with prices going up to $1,250 per ticket. He is not going. One of my vendors has 8 season tickets so I was hoping to get a call. I am not going either.

Just accidentally bumped into Dickie V turning a corner in the Schott. It was totally my fault, but he apologized. He must know me.

Austin Rivers is obviously a top 5 prospect in next year's draft and is clearly the best player on the floor.

Thomas takes this team to a totally different level if he is on. It appears he is on today, hopefully this game jump starts him just like Dickie V said it might.

Craft, Buford, Thomas and Sully is about as good as it gets this year.

LaQuinton Ross is supposed to be eligible on 9 Dec and he was supposed to be the most impressive of the others.

How huge is it that they moved the old, blue-haired, deep-pocketed alumni/boosters out of the midcourt lower bowl. It has transformed the Schott into a real life major NCAA Hoops venue. The arena is much more like a pro venue than an NCAA court (like Assembly Hall in Bloomington or St. Johns at tOSU).

The Schott is a great place to see a concert, it's a really bad place to watch a basketball game. Nationwide is the arena for sports.

It just doesn't get any better than that. A bare ass spanking of a legacy program ranked in the top 5. With a huge national spotlight. Huge games from Sullinger, Craft, Buford, and Thomas. Matta's big vein protruded like 3 inches out of his neck all night. And a raucous home crowd.

Envious of those that were there. There is nothing like being at a sporting event with that kind of electricity.

I think the outside shooting could be questionable. Not a believer in Buford carrying that par of the team.

I think Sullinger may be somewhat foul prone if he faces real competition and not those twin Duke stiffs. Basically, Lee is right about his ground-bound nature and not hving the quickest of feet.

Keep in mind I'm not saying tOSU sucks or is overrated or any non-sense like that. Just sayin that they played almost the perfect game and I didn't see 84 Georgetown.

I do like their potential depth better than last year's team.

If anybody watched that game last night and came away thinking Sullinger is an elite NBA prospect I feel sorry for them.

Hell of a game and hell of a college basketball meh guy.

Just better pray UNC and Kentucky don't develop, because of those utes get it together they'll run over this squad.

I agree with JB.

That was a nice win and it was great to beat, as Swerb noted, a legacy program that soundly.

But forgive me if I worry a bit about William Buford knocking down shots.

They have no Diebler or any reasonable facsimile thereof. And you need to be able to make teams pay for when those that can (and those that have no choice) collapse around Sullinger and shut off Craft's runs to the rim.

It's going to happen a lot this season where teams try it. Most aren't talented enough to do it.

e0y- you watched last night? Not sure I understand why. And is it all collegiate sports you abhor or just hoops? Because I'd imagine the very vast majority of college football players are inferior to their NFL brethren. No?

Inferiority isn't my only problem with the game.

It's just a generally shitty sport.

But yes, I watch occasionally to Scout guys and/or to support OSU.

I actually much prefer college football to the NFL because it hasn't been watered down by nearly as many absurd rules and you can still have hero's, villains, etc.

College basketball only has 18 year old stars and the worst playoffs system in all of sports.

They may not have "the 3 point guy" like Diebs, but they still shot over 57% from behind the arc. Maybe it was just the perfect storm, but I assume it will be by committee until they find an able sniper.

A more tenacious defensive team like Wisconsin is where we'll find out how much we miss Diebler.... if we end up missing him at all.
