And we are still comparing a guy who is the current Heisman leader and a top 15 prospect right now (more likely to end up top 5/10) to Josh freaking Harris.

I'm on board with RG3. I want the Browns to take him with the first pick. If, by some miracle, Colt turns himself into Drew Breeze, well, then you have 2 trade chips.

Maybe Matt Ryan gets turf toe and we end up around 15 with the second pick. Take a WR. Take a RT. Take a LB. Take a DE...Same with our top of the 2nd round pick. There are holes to fill. But none of those holes being filled with a top 8 pick is going to get us to the Super Bowl next year.

There is absolutely no downside to taking RG3 with the top pick that I can see. None.

I can envision a scenario where RG3 is mocked to fall to where our ATL pick would be. OK then, take Blackmon or a stud LB with the 1st. But you better be damn sure RG3 will still be there when that pick comes around.

Colt McCoy is not doing enough for Cleveland to pass on a potential franchise quarterback. He was a third-round pick in 2010, so it is not like the Browns have a huge investment in him. McCoy could still be a quality backup for Cleveland.

Griffin has been one of the best players in college football this season. The 6-foot-2, 220-pounder is a big-play machine. He has a strong arm, is extremely accurate throwing the ball and has superb mobility, having also been a track competitor. Griffin is very intelligent and a high-character individual. He has the makings of a franchise quarterback. Thus far in 2011, Griffin has completed 73 percent of his passes for 3,678 yards with 34 touchdowns and five interceptions. He has rushed for 612 yards and seven touchdowns. Griffin has the 'it' factor that pushes his team to wins and elevates the play of his teammates.

Readers have been emailing me that they want the junior to be included in the 2012 mock. Previously, Griffin was projected to go at the very top of the 2013 NFL Draft because the early hints are that he is inclined to pull an Andrew Luck/Jake Locker/Matt Leinart and return to school for the 2012 season. Griffin has already been graduated and is getting a master's this year. He has stated that he wants to do his first year of a law degree next year. That would put him in the 2013 draft. It will be interesting to see what Griffin decides to do.

You can all have Landry Jones. If I had to bet my life on it tonight I'd say McCoy is a better QB than Jones at the NFL level. Both benefited from watching guys with 4 yard cushions run free all day and both benefited from Top 10 talent around them relatively speaking.

RG3 is a different player IMO. Stronger than either of them, strong arm, playing with less than Texas and Oklahoma caliber teammates.

I didn't know he already had a his undergrad degree and was working toward an advanced degree. How much does that say about the kid?

It also tells me he's not a lock to declare if he can come back, play ball at that level and move through a year of law school.

When one is drafted in the 1st Round and the other is drafted at the end of the 3rd, it speaks to what the scouts think of each player's talent level/potential. I think Landry's height alone gets him drafted in the 1st. If Colt were 4 inches taller, he'd have been a 1st rounder too.

Root for Jacksonville tonight. If they win, then there's only 3 teams with worse records, and only one of them (the Colts) would be likely to take a QB (Rams and Vikes are the other 2).

That would make 8 teams tied at 4-8, but I'd be willing to bet almost all of them except the Browns win at least one more game.

And that leaves the Browns in prime position to take RG3 at #4.
