Dumbass, Roman era Germania encompassed all of modern day Scandinavia. Dumbass, the Semnone Sachsaz and Furmas Thundaz ("First Heroes") were both Berserker units, both were present at the Battles of Arausio, Noreia, Vercellae, and Aquae Sextiae. Used as shock troops that worked themselves into a rage and charged the Roman lines with spear shield, and wearing only wolf pelts and deer skin loincloths. The Norse ARE Germans in ancient heritage.

Even their Gods were the same.

Donar was the Roman era Germanic version of Thor. Wotan/Woden was the Germanic Odin.

So I do know my heritage, dumbass.

Urban Meyer just said he has yet to be even contacted by OSU during the MI v. NEB telecast.

''We were in Bible study last night, he and I were, and it was news to us,'' Spielman told The Associated Press before he and Meyer worked as ESPN analysts for the Nebraska-Michigan game. ''There's no deal.''

Meyer hasn't even said if he's ready to return to coaching anywhere.

''I miss a lot of things about it, but I also am really enjoying another part, that's I get to watch my kids play sports,'' Meyer said in an AP interview earlier this month.

"Wasn't offered". reading between the lines is fun.

There is a crazy amount of smoke around Urban. But it should be noted that Brooks is like Florio in a lot of ways. Guy throws a lot of shit to the wall and most of it doesn't stick.

No doubt. I was more so referring to this "staff in place" bullshit.

That sounds bullshit.

Would urbz really think that Herbstrait would make a good coach? Spielman? both of which have nothing in regards to how to handle a player and how to coach one up?

I seriously doubt it. I think the money and years thing is bullshit, I think that the staff is bullshit. But the interest is definitely real in my eyes.

Herbstreit already said in an ESPN article he has talked to Urban about maybe being his QB coach.

That is what Brooks was drawing from.

Will be interesting to see what Herbstreit's take on the Bucks will be should Meyer come to Cbus. He has been a notorious hater for the past few years, obvious disdain for Tressel, etc.... ran himself literally out of town for his venom thrown at Buckeye Nation. Herbstreit hearts Meyer, want to see Corso put on a Meyer fake head and watch Herbie make out with him. :hide:
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

"We had a great time together."

Right now he's Terry Robiske as far as any validation. We'll see.

But I believe you are talking apples and oranges in the coaching progression ranks. What constitutes NFL ready vs major legacy program ready are two different resumes.
