The Ali/Frazier fights, for me, are the only programming other than Godfather and Godfather II ... that can make me immediately stop watching whatever I am watching when I see em on the tube. Immensely compelling, especially as I was able to learn more about the backstory between these two.
The third one, in Manilla, my God. Smokin Joe almost died that night.
Frazier was an effing bulldog. Relentless. Like a little tank, just kept moving forward, kept pressuring. The type of fighter I love to watch fight.
