Cleveland Browns & The NFL

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Truthfully though, this franchise has robbed me of good feelings in general. Not too many seasons and Sundays in the past when I dreaded going down there for the game, but these days I find myself coming up with 1,000 reasons not to go.

Still...heading down in a bit. No tailgating, no getting there at hours usually reserved for fishing and hunting. Just going down before hand, grabbing a sandwich and watching 35 more 6 yard throws with 8 defenders within 5 yards of the LoS. The Seattle DBs are run-aggressive and ripe for being beaten deep. But I have zero faith the Browns will try much less succeed in that regard.

I'll go 17-13 Seahawks.

I woke up today and found myself wishing that the Browns weren't playing again. There are a million other more enjoyable things I could and should be doing. But when they are on, I watch. I can't help it.

Why am I compelled to watch?

I want to see how the Browns come out at home, they have been like zombies just like the coach for home games. I know Pete Carroll is going to have his guys fired up and they can come to the east and win a game. They beat the Giants already this year, I don't see Shurmur being able to fire up the Browns to win on the west coast at all.

The Seahawks are a better coached team and they have the better talent on the field right now. I just have no confendence in Shurmur running this offense.

I was comparing Carroll's ability to take the Seahawks to the east coast and win a game to Shurmur's ability to bring the Browns to the west coast to win a game. That is a big reason I think the Browns will lose today. Football is a game of emotions and the Browns and their coach are lacking in that department.

I was not talking about the offensive system.
