Has anyone heard any rumors or possible changes to the uniform in 2012.
Personally, at the moment I like the mix we have, 2 caps with the C, 2 caps with Chief Wahoo. and one of the caps being fully red for something different.
The shirts also look really good.
What do people think?

I think they should wear white with Indians on the front for home games.
I think they should wear gray with Cleveland on the front for road games.
Maybe a "C" on the hat somewhere?

I like the block C hats. The red ones are awful though. They should have two hats IMO, the blue Chief Wahoo hats, and the blue block C hats.
While I have warmed to the cream unis with INDIANS on the front that they wear on weekends, I too prefer gray with the words Cleveland on the front.

They just need to outline that block C w/ white so it stands out against the red/blue cap.
Similar to the '78 model

Still holding out hope that they add the trim and throw a blue bill on it.

I get the feeling the the C hats will become more used over the next couple of years. I like the Red one for something different but as an alternative only, would never have it as a permanent home or away, personally I would love to see the Navy Blue Block C worn in most games, and Chief Wahoo remain on the sleeve.
After a big change last year with the road uniform, don't see much changing this year:)

I'm with Paulie C, I like the C with the rim matching the hat. I don't like a different color rim on hats. And I don't like the Chief anymore.
I love the cream weekend unis, but only on weekends.
I got this one rule. I never go out with girls who say "bitchin'".

Don't know how to paste them in, but I like the wahoo-inside-the-C caps, and kinda like the black and white wahoo caps too.

Could you use the script off the weekend Jersey's with the home top?
Navy Blue Block C cap and Red for an Alternative?

Problem with the "C" cap, it to closely resembles the Cubs hat. The Script "I" logo is nice because it's derivative of the Chief (It's supposed to look like his feather), without the overt racism.
/Agree that solid colors are better for the hats.
//the Sunday "cream" home jersey is awesome. Keep Chief Wahoo on the sleeve and it's perfect.

A couple months ago on twitter Mark Shapiro implied they'll keep the red hats and change to red undershirts and socks for the weekend home uni's. The blue shirts/socks didn't go well with the red hats, so they're just going all red.

How would something like this work if they want to keep the red?

I like the "older" ones IMO. Like with Acab on theclevelandfan banner^^^^^^. My favorite is the blue version of that jersey and with Chief Wahoo on the left sleeve.
I also like the simple "I" hat. It looks way better IMO than a "C". Cubs and the Reds come to mind whenever I see the "C".

http://cleveland.indians.mlb.com/news/a ... e&c_id=cleLike the changes, more basic home top, Wahoo survives on the cap, which is the main thing. Plus as I personally like the red cap, it surviving is good too.
Don't think the team needed to announce 3 days in advance that changes are going to happen, as they are that minor it didn't need a three day lead in.
Lets hope they just decide now to leave everything as is for a few years:)

The main thing is Chief Wahoo remains on the cap, I was talking about the block c cap being used more in the sense of the Indians trying to faze out Wahoo, the uniforms look good for this year, if they do go ahead with red under shirts on the weekend home tops I think we have the perfect blend, lets just hope they leave the main 3 unchanged for a few years now (I wouldn't complain if the blue alternative was fazed out so we just had the 3 uniforms)

I am actually a fan of the red hat (See Avatar), but only a couple of times a week (Or even fortnight). I thinks its nice to have a cap that is a lot brighter then the blue to wear occasionally, and it also utilizes the clubs other primary color.
I agree with the Blue Block C cap, I love the midnight navy, really strong colour.

Thought the Red hats looked a lot better with red belts, undershirts and socks today, they looked part of the uniform rather then a one off cap on a blue uniform.
If they actually get some red helmets I think it would look really good, perhaps even replace the C with Chief Wahoo?
Just like the red for something different to be worn occasionally.

Agreed , didn't like the red caps in the past, but I will admit it looked a lot better today when they added the red socks and red sleeves

So I jumped onto Wiki downloaded the uniform image and made the adjustments to show this years uniforms.

All in all looks pretty good, good mix of Wahoo and Block C, and the Red looks like it is part of the uniform, rather then a special one off cap. I will say again with the extra red, they really need to invest in a red set of helmets.
Lets just hope they leave it unchanged for a minimum of 5 years, really good mix as it is!!!!
