Dude reveals that he is going to take the two weeks that we are each allotted the camera package for our senior films and try and shoot an entire feature film (the average feature takes at least 2 months). Ambitious, interesting, thank god I'm not on his crew shooting 22 hour days for 2 weeks... but then he reveals that his movie is about film school, which isn't even interesting to us, and he named the movie Film's Cool (get it?), and pretty much all of us were thinly veiled characters in this "screenplay".

He never finished it, and it was even worse than it sounds. And not even accidentally amusing (which most student films are).

I think he works in development at Universal now.

Halfway thru the 2nd season of Deadwood and consider me a late fan.

I don't watch that much tv when it comes to shows but on the opinion of those on this board I started the DVR process and quite enjoy it. Agree on the language being a little bit tiresome but I actually find it engages me more into the show, much like The Wire did.

Wish I would have been in on Deadwood when it was actually running but in a way, I'm glad I can watch it after the fact, as I'm in the process of with FNL and will be Mad Men and Breaking Bad in due time.

I said Pawn Stars was a guilty pleasure..... not brilliant TV. Some of the shit they get in interests me because i'm a history buff. Spartacus is also a guilty pleasure, it's boobs, blood, and shitty dialogue. I don't care if you or anyone else perceives it as "smart", I don't need to validate myself on a message board with goddamn tv shows to prove my intellectual superiority. I watch what I like and that's it.

Hell I've read the comic and the changes they made have been spectacular...... Shane died in Atlanta in the comic book, killed by Carl Grimes after he tried to kill Rick, but the kept him around. Probably because Jon Bernthal is excellent playing the part.

Just wait until you meet The Governor, maybe one of the most vile characters in the history of comics.

My brother d/l'ed the episode and had been trying to get me to watch for a couple weeks. I finally sat down and watched the full first season this weekend, just in time for the new season.

I just fucking haaaaate Rick's wife. She was on Prison Break and her facial expressions just irritate the piss outta me, other then that agree on the Reedus character, and the rest are starting to develop quite nicely.

I read up some about the comic, they are smart to only follow that as an outline, too chaotic to put that on TV. They need to get Morgan involved again. Lennie James is just a fantastc actor.

Kirkman's quote on the changes was grand "I had no intention of writing the same shit twice." A lot of the fanboys are upset it's not following the comic word for word. I like the changes, the plot of the comic book wouldn't translate to TV as well IMO. 13 episodes this season, so i'm hoping they get to The Governor arc.

Show was fantastic again last night. You know it's a great show when 1 freaking zombie dies and it's still captivating as hell. It's so much more than a typical zombie flick where it's survivors going from point A to point B.

Now if they could only do a tv show based on Preacher.

It was a cold blooded move, that's going to be Shane's MO. He will stab you in the back to save himself. It was a great twist, and I love the direction they're taking him in. I really do not know what is going to happen next..... and I LOVE it. Shane is becoming the bad guy and Daryl is becoming more human.

I wonder, did either Shane or Otis have a chance of surviving without one of them saving the other? I doubt Shane would have done what he did if there was a chance to outrun the Zombies. If that was the case, did he do the Right thing?

Also, would he have accomplished the same thing if he had shot Otis in the head? Or do the Zombies need live victims?

I think the idea is it takes the zombies longer to subdue live food over dead.

Given Shane had Rick in the crosshairs in the back of my mind I was thinking, "This mother fucker Shan is going to kill Otis." Or that he would be all fat and fall behind and provide the same result. As it kept going I started to think they were all getting back alive, just gonna make us sweat it out... Then bam, shoots Otis, and when he gets back he's all in creeper mode.

While I also like the actor who played Otis, they didn't really flesh him out enough for me to care. They need to get Morgan back in the 3rd season...
