Still too early for the Great QB Watch of 2012 to begin?
We thinking Barkley or Jones?

Complete futility offensively through the first quarter.

The frustrating part of all this is we always seem to have enough issues on offense to not be able to independently judge one position objectively. Then it makes you wonder if the coaching staff is part of the problem.
...not to mention our record often seems to reflect our team's overall stature quite inaccurately.

Has nothing to do with anything else. If you are a great QB, it is so obvious. And if you do not have a great QB, you are talking somewhere between slim and none for winning a sausage.

love me some matt barkley.
think he's a great consolation prize in the attempt to get Luck.
not many people can march down the 'shoe at the two yard line and win a game like that.

Can he play defensive end please????

Redundant over simplification, again.

Do you watch anyone else play games? .75 is about what you get in this day and age.

Is a great QB all by himself good enough? No. Nobody has ever said that.
But you aren't winning without one. Just not happening. Unless you have the best 52 in the league other than that one.
So the question becomes, which is more likely? Finding 1 great player, or 52? And once you have that 1 great one, the other 52 get easier to put together,

Barkley is more overrated than Cats. Wouldn't mind Jones, though.

pup you fail to recognize how often great QBs do not win the SB. Every great QB wins with a lot of quality help around him, every great offense has great play from the QB.
You don't need 52 and you need more than 1, that's why it's called balance.
By no means am I confident Colt is good enough to build around, however despite his poor play throughout much of this season he is getting very little help, from his line, his pass catcher or his play callers.
This many holes really blurs judgment.
