I hate Perdickski as much as anyone (see least favorite player) but my GOD...they're allowed to drink during games?

What the hell else is there to do? You play once a week, for the most part, and the other four nights you sit and watch. Get these two or three hours early. I know purists are going to be suprised because everyone should be a team player and rah rah rah every at bat. But we're talking a 162 game season a starter will only take part in 30-40 of them. That's 130 nights of...

I talked to a former roadie who said the reason a lot of performers get on drugs is because it's so damn boring, sitting all day waiting for the show.

Yeah I'm not surprised about the starters, but position players during the game is different.

As for musicians, well from experience I can tell you there's a lot of day drinking and smoking going on. We used to bring our clubs and try to get outside and play golf at least three times a week. But even then yer still getting drunk. By the end of a month long trip you can count the chunks of yer liver missing. Good times, good times.

Back in another time I sold cars......It was not only accepted in many places it was encouraged.
