The AFL started yesterday. 1B Jesus Aguilar, youngest player on the roster, batted 4th and hit a 2-run HR in his first AB. He was the only Indians prospect to play yesterday, and finished the day 2-4 with the HR, a double, 2 RBI and 2 runs scored. Kid has big-time power potential, good to see him find some success early on against some higher-level pitching than he's used to.

I thought the AFL was a hitters league? No?

Yes, definitely. But it is mostly AAA/AA players, and Aguilar hasn't played above high-A before, so for him the pitching will be more advanced than what he's used to.
Roberto Perez homered yesterday, another guy who hasn't played above high-A. Love it.
