To me it's a no brainer. Asdrubal Cabrera. Night in and night out, solid defense in the middle of the infield and strong production from the middle of a lineup that needed it. He became more of a leader this season ... and if I had a ballot, he'd definitely be in my top 10 AL MVP ballot. Does everything above average.

Masterson and Pestano would be 2nd and 3rd on my Indians only MVP ballot.

agree on asdrubal, although Carlos was just as good offensively, asdrubal's glove clearly puts him above the rest.

I saw somewhere Shelly Duncan's stats projected out over the full season - gotta give him the nod.

This is a no brainer. Tim Belcher is the MVP of this team. He made this rotation a force. He can't lose him.

Has Duncan earned himself another year on this tribe? He really tore the cover off in September Small sample size but he's been pretty solid all year - would be a nice RH hitter off the bench and/or to fill in in case of the inevitable OF injury

Just stick him in left field on opening day next season and he's good for .287/35/120. That's what I heard anyway. Mark it dudes. That's one hole filled.

This year, however, I went with Asdrubal. I love Masterson but I have a tough time considering a pitch MVP unless he's dominant and there are no comparable alternatives. And truthfully, Masterson comes close. I think it's underappreciated just how great a year he had.

I went with Drubes as much for how well he played in comparison to what we expected. Truthfully, before this season I wasn't convinced he was much more than a decent utility infielder. I hope it's not a one year anomaly, but he sure proven that thought unfounded.

No kidding. I'm in the camp that the talant of the players FAR outweighs the importance of any coach/manager. But that's not to say it's not important at all and I really thought Belcher was a great fit. Sucks he's leaving.

What's Dick Pole up to? I used to love Dick Pole.

^ 35 minutes and no one has touched on the bait of those last 2 sentences.

Such a mature Friday around here.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB
