Troegs and Yeungling family of beers are really all I could ever need to get by.

Black & Tan, Chesterfield, straight up Yeungling and then the Troegs for some Dead Reckoning, Java head and Mad Elf?

Happy man if all I ever drank again was Yeungling and Troeg's family of beers.

And I'm not trying to piss on GLBC either, but they're getting lapped by some of these other folks. In quality and in price.

They need to get back to their roots instead of brewing them.

Yep, Krampus. Its part of the their winter rotation - an imperial pilsner. "My" store had it last year and I was too stupid to buy any. I will not make that mistake the second time around. BTW, have to let you guys know I got my hands on a 4-pack of Founders Nemesis 2010. Their Nemesis series (if you can even call it that) is limited, brewed only once, and started last year when it was branded a Wheatwine aged in maple-bourbon barrels. This years edition is a jet black American Barleywine brewed with like 4 or 5 differently malts and a shit-ton of hops. I am going to open one pretty soon and depending how that goes, aging the other bottles for 6 months to a year if the ABV is too prevalent.

Seems like you like Pennsylvania brews. Do yourself a huge favor and try anything from Stoudt's out of Adamstown. They've been around, but the past year or so they have been cranking out some seriously high quality stuff (their DIPA, Hefe, and Fatdog imperial OATMEAL are at the top of my list).

Stone - Sublimely Self Righteous, AGED old guardian barleywine, 15th anniversary Black IPA

Alesmith - Just fucking drinking the stuff. Ive never had a bad beer from these guys.

No sir. I don't believe they distribute this far east but I am not sure. I will look them up. Any other suggestions out of Colorado or the west coast?

I don't think I have any you havent heard of. Haven't seen a new brewery out this way recently or really any new brews even.

Heh, you'd be surprised. There are plenty of breweries that don't distribute to Ohio and I can only do so much trading until the FedEx budget gets exhausted. Colorado brewers ship here (Breckenridge, Boulder, Great Divide, Avery, etc) but still no Oskar Blues. I need Cali crafts like the ones I mentioned before to open up their distribution. I'm jonzing for some Supplication.

I have only seen Russian River in bars, and it has only been Pliny the Elder, they don't ship here often. I will keep my eye out for it though.

I have been looking forward to this since I moved here. Checked the website today and tickets went on sale June 1st. I know there are a ton of microbrew lovers on here, I have heard this is Mecca. My friend went last year and refered to it as a 4.5 hour power hour. Let me know if any of you come out.

Just a heads up to any of you assholes, Tickets go on sale Aug 2nd and will be sold out in a week. Everyone should go to this once.

if anyone goes, do yourself a favor and hit the St. Arnold's table. Their Endeavor is one of the best beers ever made, and I spent two hours scouring Austin for 12 bottles of their newly-released Divine Reserve 12 (annual special beer they make, Endeavor was DR11). Or if you're in Texas or New Orleans, get some as soon as you can. The Weedwacker and Lawnmower are phenomenal summer beers too.
