Acta ejected in the first.... gotta figure he did that deliberately to give Tollman the reigns in his final game.

McAllister taking on the Tigers. It's not whether the Tigers will hit double figures, it's what inning. He did get Miggy Cabrera out, so maybe the baseball gods want the Tribe to finish .500.

Wow.

If so, very cool gesture.

Arguing balls and strikes in the first inning when there were no really debatable calls.

Just realized that Thome isn't playing... maybe we saw the last of him last night, being replaced with a pinch runner after hitting a RBI 2B.

Zeke Carrera is a freakin' train wreck.

Didn't want the season to die on the vine without saying that one more time.

*sigh* I'm gonna miss this for the next few months... Gonna miss Hegan too; I sure hope they get a real sidekick for Hammy rather than let Rosie slide into the chair.

Considering the Tribe finished 69-93, fourth in the division, I would say we did OK. Not as good as most of us were hoping earlier in the year when they had a wonderful first six weeks, but considering all the injuries and the plethora of minor leaguers we were playing a good chunk of the year I'm going into the post-season rather upbeat. Of course that could evaporate with whatever moves or non-moves the FO makes during the off-season.

Well one of us has to say it: Wait Till Next Year!

That's how things have gone this season. Man on third with less than two outs and nothing to show for it.

I'd give almost anything for this season to end with an Indian absolutely crushing a line drive off Valverde's face.

Listening to the radio with Mike Hegan's last radio telecast. Kinda got choked up. Will never be the same without Hegan.

I was wrong about McAlister. Nice job. He would have had five shutout innings if not for Zeke having no clue in centerfield. I think I'd give Grady the $9 million next year just so I don't have to watch Carerra butchering any more balls out there. That is, if there's any chance Grady could stay healthy. I'd like to see Brantley moved to center next year. Not that he would be Kenny Lofton, but Grady's knees are shot and Zeke is indeed a train wreck. The pitchers ought to refuse to pitch if he's in the game.

You can't throw a fastball past Kipnis when he's sitting on it. Not even if you're Jose Valverde.

ACab swung at five fastballs out of the strike zone in that last at-bat, all high. He needs to take some lessons from Thome on how to lay off that stuff.

Pretty good season considering all the injuries to key players. Choo owes us a huge season next year. And I like what Acta said about LaPorta having to earn his spot in spring training. You're on notice, MaTola.

One good thing about next year is we won't be seeing Travis Buck, Austin Kearns, Orlando Cabrera, or Chad Durbin in Tribe uniforms. And hopefully no Zeke, either.

So long, Thominator. Too bad your last at-bat couldn't have been HR #605 to ruin Valverde's perfect season.

Second in the division. Runner-up. Bridesmaid. Should have been better but with the injuries and all it could have been much worse. But at least we ain't the $163M third-place team. :woot:
