It's not like throwing the ball Hasn't been a problem the first 3 games either. Whether it's Miller, Bouserman, Smith, Germaine, etc, this team needs to get the passing game going or Big 10 opponents are going to stack the box on them.

Who is ledging? I stated an obvious fact, completing 4% of your passes is OK against bottom feeders, the team's inability to do anything against mediocre teams is disturbing. Miller will get better. Will be in time to make this season respectable? That is the question.

Not ledging as I'm not a tOSU fan. Just an observation from an impartial voice.

Frosh or not, you can't show you can throw the ball, you're in trouble. They'd stack the box on 30 ry old Bauserman

It's fine, Miller is going to be ok throwing the ball. He's going to get a couple weapons back in a couple weeks. No worries at all.

I'd like to see them mix in some screen passes to Hall or Berry in the 2nd half.

I've never seen OSU LBs that miss as many tackles as this group. They also suck at coverage.... like really really bad.

Early season grades:
-CBs A.
-Safeties. B+ (OJ gets an F and is graded separately as an outlier)
-Linebackers. D (Sweat C, Sabino C, Klein D (although better today).
-DEs. C (no pressure on the edge, not holding the edge)
-DTs. A. (Goebel is the best guy on the team that makes 0 plays, Hankins is disruptive).

Williams being out surely hurts the DE play, but I don't think it makes that big of a difference. Williams looked good as a freshman, looked like a future playmaker as a sophomore, but then didn't improve last year. At this point, I could care less and I actually like seeing the more traditional 4-3 with Simon, Bellamy, Goebel and Big Hank. The Bucks really need to land Washington (a near certainty). He immediately becomes the best pass rushing DE on the team the day he signs his LOI.

Howard has been meh since his suspension. Clarke and Roby have been pretty impressive. Barnett has been good. Bryant looks pretty good in limited reps (but they are going up!). Moeller has been a disappointment thus far.

The LB play has been terrible at times making me long for Ross Homan and Brian Rolle, who were decent LBs but no one will mistake them for AAs. Sweat has been terrible in coverage. Storm Klein has missed a lot of tackles and has not been good getting off blocks. Sabino has been either good or bad, never solid. Shazier is the future at LB and he is starting to get reps earlier in games.

Simon has not been as good as I hoped. Fortunately that means he should be back next year (he was probalby back anyway).
