3. The biggest disappointment for the Indians will be?

I'll go first.

1. 76-86
2. Carlos Carrasco..wins 15 games with an ERA in the low 4's.
3. Matt Laporta, who again struggles and is replaced by a committee of first basemen in early June.
4. Atlanta
5. Oakland

I hope you guys are right, I wagered $200 on the Tribe winning over 72 games this season at even money (primarily to make what should be a less then mediocre season more interesting for me.)

2. The most pleasant surprise for the Indians will be? LaPorta figures it out.

3. The biggest disappointment for the Indians will be? Bullpen other the CP is the usual disaster.

4. The World Series winner will be? Red Sox

5. The World Series loser will be? Philles

Obviously, LaPorta figuring it out is key. He must turn a corner this season or we are in big trouble. So I am hoping he will. If he doesn't my predictions are way too optimistic.

Sizemore will not regain anything even resembling his former level of production.

1. I think they will appear out of contention by the Kentucky Derby, but will grind their way to a moderately respectable 79 win's.
2. Most pleasant surprise: Sizemore, Choo, and Carmona are still wearing Tribe Uni’s after the deadline, and all manage to stay healthy
3. Disappointment: Attandance is once again lowest in the league.
4. WS Winner:OAK
5. WS Loser: San Fran

No way. We control all of them long enough that we won't trade them this soon. Grady's the only one there's any chance of trading this year, and if those three are all healthy and playing well, we're above 500 at the break. If we're above 500 at the break, we're not sellers.

None of those three is gone this year, except for Grady if he is the only player on the team playing well and the rest of the team is playing abysmally. As per my prediction, I don't think that will happen this year.

80-82. I think there is just too much unrealized talent on this team and that it finally starts to show this year. Lots of former #1 prospects on the team with Buck, Carrasco, LaPorta, etc and other top guys who have yet to live up to their promise. Just need to catch a break for once.

2. The most pleasant surprise for the Indians will be?

Travis Buck. If healthy, he has a chance to be a Casey Blake-like find. Guy is a former elite prospect who has been hampered by injuries, so maybe the change of scenery helps and he stays on the field. If he does, we may find ourselves a steady offensive performer a la Blake (I know people hate him, but man is he greatly under-rated).

3. The biggest disappointment for the Indians will be?

Matt LaPorta. I hope I am wrong, but I have a bad vibe on him right now. He is supposed to be healthy now and was able to workout this past offseason...something he was unable to do last year and he was a mess physically last year. But I just have no confidence at the moment in the guy.

4. The World Series winner will be?

Red Sox. If they stay healthy, they breeze through the season and playoffs. And you just know they will add a pitcher or two down the stretch. That team is scary good. But health is the great equalizer.

5. The World Series loser will be?

Braves. What a great young core they have and a nice pitching staff. Team could be on the verge of taking over the NL East this year, especially with all the injury problems the Phillies are having. Granted the Phillies rotation is sick, but you can only overcome so many major injuries. Braves-Phillies the next few years should be a great rivalry.

LaPorta. A slow-footed stiff. He'll be on the bench by June 1st.

Sort of cheating to do this after the season starts but.....

Record: 74-88

Most Pleasant: This is where I'm cheating... Masterson. I really liked his game today and I'm going to hitch me up a bandwagon.

Most dissapointing. Sizemore with an honerable mention to the attendance numbers.

Winner: Rangers

Loser: Reds (Lee will win two with Halliday winning one and the Reds the rest).

I did not do well on season win totals. The only ones I won are the Indians (over 71.5) and Pirates (over 69...actually not a winner yet..they need to win one more game). I lost Oakland (over 84.5...the one bet I really regret), the Angels (under 83), the Blue Jays (under 76.5), and the Phillies (under 97).

I was in the ball park on the Indians win loss record, and right about Laporta. Way off on Carrasco, and have a shot at the WS winner..but Oakland is nowhere to be found.

Beane is the most over-rated GM in baseball, by a long shot.

I'm glad Moneyball is getting horrible reviews. It's a wonderful testament to his over-ratedness.

Not really a going out on the limb pick, but I'd say it's a legit pick. Leads the team in wins, era and S.O.

I haven't followed the attendance but I'd guess it will be up over what I would have thought. I'll argue Sizemore was also a legit pick.

Oakland indeed was one of those "trendy" picks, and I bought it hook like and sinker. I think too many young pitchers can spell doom..that is what happened to them. That and not much offense. As I said, a really bad pick on my part.
