I think this is a pivotal night for Luke Fickell.

If he stays with exclusively Bauserman I see a loss. They need some plays from the position and one way to ensure you get some is to have an athlete back there who can make as many with his legs as with his arm. Bauserman is not nearly good enough a passer to warrant him playing all night when you need plays made. And for all his 'experience' he doesn't show much of it in finding receivers or making throws. So what good is that experience and pocket passing ability if it doesn't exactly exist? Especially when there's no benefit to Bauserman on the ground?

I could also see Fickell tossing Bauserman under a bus after a loss and naming Miller his starter the rest of the season. I'd hope not, but I could see a young, desperate coach making a desperate move like that if they don't win tonight.

I just can't come up with a reason not to go with Miller, unless Miller looks so bad in practice that Fickell just can't put him in. But that seems pretty unlikely.

Being in a program for 5 years does not = experience. At best he knows the plays, but it doesn't do much if he isn't finding the receivers anyway. I would rather see Miller screwing up plays and improvising with his legs, then see Bow-Wow freezing under pressure and doing his best Tim Couch impersonation.

I have no idea what to expect in this game. I determined during the BSU vs. Toledo game that Toledo is much better than I thought. Couple of fumbles in the redzone really made this game look like a bigger blowout than it was. The Rockets moved the ball well, so I think that actually makes tOSU D seem better (in spite of some bad angles).

On the other side, the way that BSU's QB and WR shredded the Rockets just underscores how bad the QB play was and how devoid of playmakers the offense seems to be. I cannot even make a prediction because I have no idea what to expect out of this team. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach, but at the same time I feel like tOSU should prevail by a couple of TDs. This Miami team looked terrible against Maryland. Something like 31-17.

Long run falls on Storm Klein's shoulders. Seriously, it is time to get him off the field. 7-0 Canes.

Great start.

Why don't they run the ball? 3rd & 4 and Blowserman tosses a ball 20 yards down field?

OSU is losing the battle upfront against the U's O-Line. Just getting shoved around. Great blocking by everyone in a Miami uniform right now.

I just paid about $35 to get the internet here in my London hotel for 24 hrs so I can listen to this game and the Browns game tomorrow (today). Really hope it gets better than this.

Well I guess the upshot is they couldn't possibly play worse than this.

Clarke ran right by the RB..... Holy shit. This is all that fucking Furls fault.

Jordan Hall looks so fucking good out there. Everytime he touches the ball he breaks it for 10. His vision is amazing, 2 of those runs were RB improvisations.

This is why Miller needed to start against Akron and Toledo; he can get reps and hopefully make fewer mistakes against Miami. We have a QB hole worthy of the Browns, and it seems to be Fickell's fault.

More Bow-Wow. The moment is clearly to large for Braxton, and we already knew it was too large for Bow-Wow. Now had Brax played during Toledo..... perhaps (or perhaps the Bucks lose).

Storm Klein registers his first assisted tackle of the season by jumping on a player who was already down. Please sit his stiff, slow body on the bench. Sweat, Sabino and Shazier please FTW!

Fickell must want to collect unemployment, FFS keep Miller in freakin the game.

A loss today probably guarantees a HC search.

I don't think you can say it's "too big for him", he had 2 series, and he's really had no chance to build chemistry with his WRs..... and they've been playing like dog shit too.

He is jumpy back there. TP came out against USC and was a lot more composed. Brax just needs more real life run, he needs to play every snap against Colorado next week.

So today, I was trying to tell my son that Joe Bauserman is the worst OSU Buckeye starting QB since.... and then I froze because I literally could not remember a worse one. Even Bellisari was better.

You say what you want about him Furls' but his ability to throw the ball away on a roll out instead of taking a pick-6 is amazing. If throwing the ball away in a bad situation was a quantifiable skill he'd be #1 in the country.

No.

I watched Bellasorry in person.

I'll take Bauserman. At least he isn't prone to the game changing, soul crushing, face palming mistake that Steve-O was.

Bellisari was fucking terrible, but at least he occasionally did something interesting. Bow-Wow just chucks it away, I got a great idea on passing plays, lets just not pass if Bow-Wow is in the game.

Funny how the announcers said it was a 2 possession game. Far as I can tell, it is a 4 possession game for OSU (3 points at a time).

Was watching that FSU vs. OU game, and that game is just being played at a much higher level. Those teams would embarrass tOSU or the U.

First time I have seen FSU this year, and their DL might be the best in the country.

Gonna change jerseys... Was wearing the Tatum Jersey, thinking I need to go with some offense. So the question is should I try to channel Archie or Eddie? Thinking Archie!

Those were a very impressive 4 yards. Don't sell the guy short ( I almost called him a kid).

I got the Archie going right now. The only way OSU wins this game is if the RBs channel Archie and break some 50yarders. Bauserman is fucking worthless back there.

I think/hope we are seeing the last of Bauserman this week. This should put the nail in the coffin.

I wish I had been that insightful. That shit would have been funny. Is social security an allowable "extra" benefit?

Yep, congrats to Storm Klein on making his second play of the season!

He is so afraid to throw an INT that he puts his ball where the only player who has any shot at it is his own. Seriously. Watch, he always under/overthrows his players away from coverage.

Fickell is in way over his head.

Bauserman is in way over his head.

I was hoping Luke could be the OSU coach for the next 20 years, I don't think he even makes 20 games at this point (and it would be justified).
