Been way too long. I'm gonna email all the regulars after I post this. Newbs welcome as well. First 12 to confirm. Strat league. Fun as hell if you haven't played before. $25 a team.

1990's league, 60mm cap, DH.

Theme league. All your players from the same team.

*Did you see the new cards they just added to ATG6? Herb Score is in there. Also gave Babe Ruth a pitching card.

Just what I need for the offseason.

How does the theme work, exactly? I assume it means that, once randomly given a franchise, you are limited to the player cards for players on that franchise. But what about guys who played for multiple franchises. What about, say, Robby Alomar? http://fantasygames.sportingnews.com/stratomatic/about/player.html?player_id=3328&year=1690&pool_id=90

Is there a separate Toronto Robby Alomar card (1992, 1993, and 1995) and a Baltimore Robby Alomar (1996 and 1998)? Or just one Alomar for the league, and only the Toronto or Baltimore owners have the option of drafting him?

Any players that show up when you pick that team for the dropdown in the player browser. So in your example, the Jays and O's owner could draft Robby, still making the ranked draft list crucial. Clearly, you'll want to top load it with guys that have cards for more than one team.

I'm in a theme league right now where for 14 seasons we are rotating through the teams. Generally in the theme you are restricted to the player cards on the team you are assigned. And that's that.

But, in the league I'm in, you have to fill out your autodraft card with players who have cards on your team. After the autodraft runs every player who played for you could be used.

For example: Matt Williams has 4 SF cards and 1 Arizona card. So, either one of those teams could draft him. But, if after the autodraft runs he's still available, the Indians could pick up any one of his cards because he played for them in 1997, even though he doesn't have an Indians card in Strat. You just can't place those players on your draft card...have to wait until waivers.

Not saying we should do that. Just an example of a putting a bit of a twist on a theme.

How can you not know anyone from the Dodgers? They had 4 straight Rookies of the Year (Karros, Piazza, Mondesi, Nomo). And the Astros had the Killer B's + Ken Caminiti and Darryl Kile.

I don't want to play just had to call out eyeore on not knowing obvious 90's players.

20-30 min to put a team together. And then 5 minutes a day (if that) for 54 days (3 games played per night, 162 game season).

Set up a live draft league for Friday at 9:00 because I'm lame and won't be out drinking and galavanting around like the cool people. Never done a live draft. Sounds cool. Should take a few hours.

No thank you on this one.

Not enough understanding of the game, the strategy, etc and not enough time/interest to learn.

Last year was great because my head had exploded and I was off work for a month or whatever and needed the activity. I have more than enough activity now to keep me busy.
