Manny was
arrested today in Weston Florida. No charges have been filed, so not sure what he was arrested for.

Ramirez denied hitting his wife, according to the report, telling a deputy “he grabbed his wife by the shoulders and when he shrugged her, she hit her head.”
That's one powerful shrug he has.

Anyone else get the sinking feeling that this is just the beginning of a long and very public downward spiral?

And given that he earned over $200M in his career, that truly would be an impressive accomplishment.
Wonder how many 'friends' he had over the years coming to him with their hands out.

If Antione Walker of the NBA can blow $108,000,000 career earnings over the course of 10 years, surely Manny being Manny can blow twice that amout in the same time. With gambling, purchasing multiple mansions, paying his supplier of woman's fertility drugs ;-)
And all his hommies need escalades and gold/platinum clocks hanging from their necks.

That is a classic.
Almost as good as William Green falling down the stairs onto a knife.

Didnt he pay some guy like $1,000 to wash his car back when he was an Indian?

He was a dumbass who had people catering to him in order to keep him in line to protect their best interests.
Now he's just a dumbass.

I laughed, but the more I think about it, maybe he could be an answer as a RH LF/DH next yr.
Do they have a clubhouse that can handle the distraction? Wedge probably wouldn't have gone for it, but Acta seems pretty open minded.
Why not structure a contract with hitting incentives. Although if I were his agent, I'd sure want to tie his contract to attendance if he signed with Cleveland.

Manny has IQ of about 75, he would be in a group home if he could not hit a baseball!

This could work, He'll be suspended for 100 games but we'd have him for the stretch run! This year Thome, next year Manny.

Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

Make Sandy Jr. a player-coach, and move Carlos Santana to first base permanently. Hire Carlos Baerga away from "Beisbol Esta Noche." Tell Andre Thornton the team needs him as a DH more than the Cleveland Council on World Affairs needs him. See if Rick Manning wants to suit up again. This could go on and on...

Omar will likley be retiring at the end of the season. We can bring him back. Lofton comes back as a coach. Then we hire Albert Belle as Director of Public Relations.

I think Omar has another year or two left in him. This young team could use his veteran presence.

I see where Manny now says he wants to play again.......I am not advocating this, I just was interested in the arguements.
If it could be done, would it be wise to sign Manny for a couple, few million to have as second half insurance?
Would the Indians have stayed in the race this year if they had Manny during their swoon?

He wants to sign a contract so he can sit 100 games of his suspension, and then be allowed to play in the Dominican Winter League.

I believe he wants to play. If he could play in the Majors where he could actually earn money, he would.

If he could do it while signing a minor league contract and not take up a spot on the 40 man roster, sure. I don't think that's how the MLB would play it, though. I'd imagine he'd have to be on the 40 man for this suspension to be legit. I don't see anyone wasting a spot so Manny could stay home and play video games for 2/3 of the season.
