All that hard work by Haden gone with one fuck-up.

I've never seen that before. Snapping the ball while the D is still in the huddle is brilliant.

They were still in the huddle. It was almost comical........ unless you're a Browns fan.

I realize Massaquoi had a step, but that's a terrible decision on 3rd & 10.

It's unfathomable we have a chance to lose at home to a team qb'd by Andy Dalton and Bruce Gradkowski. Oh well, maybe we score here.

I've grown tired of waiting for this shit.

You get the ball at your own 40 and you're not able to get more than 2 yards on a team that boasts having an over the hill nate clements at corner?

You let Cincy, a team full of felons and guys who have low wonderlic scores out smart you for the game winning score?

You don't fix the right side of the o-line even though it was clear that was the entire off-season that was perhaps the worst position on the team by far?

I know the higher-ups say to be patient, but seriously? I've heard that line for ten or so years. I want to see a winner, I don't want to see what I saw take the field ever again.

and it's not that I'm going to quit being a fan, but jeeze, a win today could have gone a long way to show me that it had been worth it and that we're in the right direction.

Meh..... whatever good...whatever bad....

Maybe I'm gettin' old, but I'm sick of waitin'. Sick of having Sunday at 1:00 being the shittiest football I watch all weekend.

Cause make no mistake about it, that was two shitty teams, playin' a shitty football game.

Effin' waste of time.

And I'm sick of the only talk on the boards being about draft picks, or if we've ever heard of a guy playing line for the Browns in the fourth quarter.

Bruce Gradkowski and the Bengals get the best of you at home? Definition of bad football.

I am certainly not advocating another regime change....

BUT

9 penalties in the first half? (Pre-season we saw this too) Our head guy needs to get that corrected AND SOON!

Looked to me that ONCE AGAIN we have a signal caller that is playing not to lose....BRUTAL :pb:

Embarrassing. Plain and simple. You get your hope up that this organization will finally get it right and you get this. This game was going to set the tone for the whole season more so than most with the front loaded schedule. It was either going to be a building block for the next 10 weeks or the beginning of a long, long season. Unfortunately, it is the latter.

some random thoughts upon reflection..

A.) I wasn't impressed with the Bengals, take away some self-inflicted mistakes and we're talking. Only thing they have done right is there d-ends. A better disciplined Browns team wins this hands down

B.) Haden looked great, outside of the one play where he gave up a TD, which again, is purely the fault of the defense napping as a whole, not his fault

C.) If this were against any other actual team (Steelers, Packers), we're simply not having this conversation and acting depressed over it. Rather we'd be discussing how this team is on the up and up.

D.) I agree that Colt is still a major question mark, the offense with him in the drivers seat showed some promise, which is moreso I can say about Dalton who's primary play was to hand it off to Cedric Benson (who should not have been in the lineup).

E.) Jaabaal Sheard had a quietly solid game. Caught him being held a few times. same with Rubin and Taylor.

This team still looks like a freakin expansion team 12 years later. No excuses. I faced better gameplans in youth football. We had more disciplined players. And where the fuck was Hardesty? Made a couple of good runs, and was rewarded with the rest of the day off. Brilliant.

The Brownstains know how to take the heat off of the Bucks and Fickels narrow escape of a second place MAC team.

Every summer I look forward to football, impatient. And every September I wonder why.
