I'd be interested in doing a league for fun. I don't think I could stand doing a pay league for fantasy hockey. Too many injuries and not enough replacement-level players like with football.

Was definitely thinking a pay league. Maybe even a dynasty league.

I am interested.

Are you thinking Rotisserie or Head-to-Head?

Starting to garner some interest in this. Thinking roughly $125 entry fee. Head to head weekly games with a points system. Possibly a dynasty league where you would hold over roster from year to year.

I can't pay-to-play hockey. I just don't know enough about the pros.

Found a league through an online hockey message board, if anyone has interest in getting in, let me know. Details below.

Here are the details. It's on CBS sportsline. We've been doing this for 13 years now. Unfortunately, a few guys couldn't return for this upcoming season.

It's roto style, weekly roster changes (the week runs Monday-Sunday). Payouts are first and second, with maybe third depending on the amount of people.

15 active skaters - 6 Defense, 6 wingers, 3 centers and 3 active goalies.

We also have a reserve roster that : 1) gets drafted after all the active players are picked (on the same night as the active draft), and 2) consists of 1 G, 4 D, 4 W, and 2 C.

8 Categories = G, A, +/-, PIMs, Specialty teams points, Goalie Wins, GAA, and Save %.

The draft is online. It will probably be Tuesday, October 4th at 8:30 PM Eastern Time. If guys can't make it that night, we could switch it to Monday or Thursday night.

It's not a keeper league so everyone starts from scratch each year and no one has an advantage coming in.

We usually have between six and eight teams (once in a while nine or ten). We had eight last year.

We don't have a waiver list where guys can pick up and drop players at any time. Instead, we have supplemental drafts every two weeks (on Mondays) where everyone adds and drops one player. The order of this draft is determined by the reverse order of standings on the prior Sunday night.

The fee is $150 per person.

Most of the guys are from PA (me), NJ, and NY.

Hope this all sounds good for you.

Once again, write back to let me know.

Also, if you know of anyone else that might want to join, that would be good too.

That first league is absurdly deep.

Kesler was probably a steal in the second one since he probably won't play until November. He'll be solid after that, assuming he comes back healthy. Not in love with the second team's goalies, but I think Mike Smith could be a giant surprise. It's a high upside selection.

Right in the middle of the pack.

Started shitty ... made a run after the midway point, then petered out and fell back to 6th place out of 10 teams. Phil the Thrill and Stamkos were amazing for me. My Blue Jackets buried me in +/-, and my goalies all hot off to crap starts ... hurting me in the goaltending categories.

The second league ... H2H, finished just below .500.

Not a good fantasy hockey year for me.

In the future I would choose a bullet in the head before drafting a CBJ player. Fantasy Hockey is a bitch, maybe not as time intensive as Fantasy Baseball, but it requires just as much research.
